Bringing your baby into the tanning bedroom with you?

I am due in 4 weeks and am a tanning bed junkie! I know it's horrible but that's just what I enjoy. Of course, I have not tanned one time during my pregnancy but do miss it! I want to get back into right after I have my son. I was wondering if any moms bring their baby/kids into the tanning room with them? I was thinking of bringing my son into the room, facing him towards the wall, and completely covering the car seat up with a blanket so no lights get in. I was wondering other mom's opintion on this?

Some tanning salons have a place where kids can go while the parents tanned. Of course, my daughter is 6 and she'd stay in the playing area just fine while I went to the tanning room (though usually I went while she was in school). I don't know how it will be when I have my son, beacuse I don't think they will keep an eye out on a newborn and no way am I leaving him unattended. As far as I know they don't allow you to bring your children back to the tannings rooms with you though. Depends on the policies of the tanning salon. I personally wouldn't do it though. See if you can find a family member or friend who doesn't mind going with you and watch the baby up front, or at their home or yours while you go tan. Just a suggestion. I will probably leave my baby with the hubby while I tan, I'll need some mommy time alone, and I seriously need some color!! lol

As long as it doesn't hurt his eyes or he isn't crying the whole time you are in there then I think it would be ok. I would definitely check with his doctor or yours just to say what they would say, because you might not even be aloud to through the actual tanning bed either. Just check with a doctor and make sure it will not hurt his eyes. I would try to do the quickest one if it is safe for him, like the ten min. bed or something and if he cries the whole time, I don't think you should continue it, because it might bother him.
