my daughter was always in the 160s and 170s but my boys were in the 130s 140s and i am 17 wks pregnant again and hb is at 160 so i think im having another girl

It's an old wives tale. I was told anything above 150 its a boy, but I had 158, and it's a girl.

I would normaly say Gilrl but i thought the same thing i had a heart rate of 175 and just new it was gonna be a girl and guess what i went in for my ultrasound last week and its a Boy :) well i hope u get what you want good luck :)

I was always told high=girl & low=boy but I can say the first time we heard the heart beat of our baby it was 175 then 160 and then 152 and Im 25 weeks now and its still always around 150 and I am having a boy so its only a myth! :]

Well i wouldnt have your heart set on the heart rate because my daughter's heartbeat was always in the 160's and i'm 25 weeks pregnant with my son and his heart beat stays in the 150-160 range so i dont really trust that. I hope you get your baby girl though!!!! I was hoping for a boy since our first was a girl, i got my wish so good luck to you!!!!!!!!!

when went for my 10week ultrasound the heartbeat rate was 164 & i found out im havin a Girl when i took the Intelligender test :) i hope u r havin a lilgirl too:) my 15th week appt is this week on thursday so im also going tofind out the sex hopefully by sonogram &im pretty sure the results will match :)

Of five kids, I have 3 girls, they were all 150's and lower and my two boys were 160's and 170's. I've heard it both ways. It doesn't really mean anything.

Don't let your doctors scare you like they are trying to do me! We got a clear shot of her no no's at 5 months and now at 8 months her heart rate has slowed down to 132. They keep telling me that is a sign of a boy and they hope I kept the receipts for all the girl stuff. Just keep on the ultrasound tech to get you a clear picture so there is no doubts in your mind. My sons heart rate was 140-160bpm. i don't think that you can really tell by the heartbeat. Every baby is different.

id have to agree that it is an old wives tale, I'm having twin girls and they have totally different heart rates one is a lot faster than the other and there always changing.

i have 6 girls and due again on dec 25 all my girls heartbeats were 150 to 160 but it think its a myth because it all depends on how relaxed etc you and ya baby are

Typically, it's a girl but other things can raise it too, for instance, if you smoke the baby's heart rate will be higher. (I didn't with my babies, that was just the only example I could remember at the time) My daughter stayed between 150 and 170 and my son stayed between 135 and 150.

Well I was in the hospital last night for 7 hours, my baby girl was monitored for 5 of them, and her heartrate was everywhere from 134 bpm to 161 bpm.

I think its an old wives tale, my baby has been in the high heart rates, 180, 170, 160 and we are having a boy. Normally they say that high heart rates are girls and low are boys but it doesn't really mean anything. Some boys are just more high strung. Good luck! I hope you get what you want.

i always believed that between 120-140 its a girl and 140-160 its a boy, but thats at the 18 week scan.... the other day when i heard my babys heartbeat it was 143 and the midwife recons its a girl cos she said that girls beat faster..... im 17 weeks with my 7th child, my first 5 were correct by what i am lead to believe but my last was a girl and her heart beat was 151, i think that its all just a myth and that the way to know for sure is by ultrasound,,,
