well i'm going to be 18 in october and i think i am pregnant. like 97%sure. i'm gonna take a test, but i'm stressed about school. i start in mid-august, it will be my senior year. but i really do not want to go to school all big. so i was wondering if i should go til i start showing? and then take school online? what should i do? :/

I'm right there with you Lauren! I'm going into my senior year and I recently found out I'm pregnant. Thankfully, I'm completeing high school early so I graduate in January. But in your case, it sounds like you're going a full year. In my opinion, I would go to school until you can't anymore. Even though you don't want to be seen being pregnant, people are going to know either way. Everyone is different though.
I think you have a better chance of completeing school if you go as long as you can. You don't want to cut yourself too short of finishing school. It will be harder to complete in the long run if you just leave too early.

I meant I dropped out when I was 17 and went back at 18 years old and 18 weeks pregnant.

I went back to school after dropping out when I was 18 weeks pregnant, I had her early due to a condition during pregnancy and she was born at 34 weekns 2 weeks before my exams. And a month away from graduation. I still walked the stage and got my diploma with a c section don't be afarid of what others think of your belly the best thing you can do for your child to be is graduate. Go till you can go anymore then take online if need be. You can do it know you can. Look up school in your area that have a teenage parent program and you won't be the only one to have a child or be expecting. I wish you the best of luck. You'll feel so great once that diploma is in your hand and your baby in the other. It's an acomplishment not many young mother get.

When I was 17 my son was born. I needed 7 credits to complete highschool and had dropped out when I found out I was pregnant because of the same reason. There might be schools available in your community that allow you to bring your child while you work on your school work or for you to attend while your pregnant. I went to Rose of Sharon in Newmarket, ON. They allowed me to bring my 3 month old son (he could have attended earlier, thats just when I signed up) and it was only 2 days a week so your not too overwhelmed. Definitely look at resources available in your community.

I had my son at 17, I went to school until I was 8.5 months, finished the semester I started, than once I had the baby I went to adult high. However, my advice to you is this.. no matter how 'big' you are.. your much better off getting as much as you can done before baby comes, as you will find it is much more challenging to finish once you have a newborn.
If your going to go at all (which I think you should)- go as long as you can, if you only go until you start showing chances are you won't get any credits for the time you put in while pregnant..
