this is my first child. im 32 weeks as of today [due april 3rd]. i believe my baby has dropped already. is it to early for him to drop though? i feel more pressure on my bladder [ive been going to the bathroom A LOT more]. ive felt more movement in my pelvic region. plus [to say this a nice way] ive been feeling a sharp pain in my crotch. ive been feeling braxton hicks contraction since i was at 24weeks and now the contractions are getting stronger but my doctor says not to worry about it until i have 6 or more in a hour. can someone help me? i just want to see if anyone else has felt this and maybe if its possible if i could have my baby early......

With my first baby my daughter dropped at 28 weeks and with this pregnancy my son has already dropped and I just hit 34 weeks last friday.. But in my case my son is trying to make an early debut.. Ive already dialated and Im at 25% effaced. They had to stop my labor(which in a weird way had no clue that I was in) and they put me on bed rest for the next two weeks until I hit 36 weeks.
You may have already dropped and the closer you get the stronger they get(this i remember from my daughter) At your next appt have your ob check you or you can always go into labor and delivery and have them check you and monitor you for a little while so that you feel better.

It took me # 3 to have a baby around the due date . My first was 3 1/2 weeks early , second was 5 weeks early .

Some times a baby will settle and camp there for a while which is what # 3 did . I got so use to the pain and pressure , I had no idea I was in labor and was rushed to the L&D because I was bleeding at 3 days past my due date .

An exame showed I was almost completely dialated , which is why I was bleeding . Gave me a huge scare , but everything went pretty quick . I never dialated at all before hand either .

It can also be the baby getting larger and putting more weight on you . My 4th was well over 7 lbs a month before my due date . I had been induced due to his size .

Hang in there . The last month or 2 is the hardest with waiting and the pains .

The most important thing I can tell you is just to be ready! Get your bags packed, the babies clothes washed and ready, and the crib or wherever your baby is sleeping set up and ready to go. We were very unprepared when our daughter was born at 35 weeks and had to send our family out to do all our shopping and everything. Babies are born early all the time. Best of luck to you and congratulations! :)

I had that and still had to be induced. My son got so low that my hips went out of socket for a while... I still had to wait and be induced at 39 weeks. But, you never know. The baby will come either when it wants to, or when the doctor says it needs to. There's no real way of knowing ahead of time how it's going to be.

I have had pain in my pelvic area with both pregnancies (feels like I have a nasty bruise INSIDE)...and I've been having braxton hicks for several weeks with this current pregnancy...my cervix hasn't started to dialate at all, and my c-section is scheduled for two weeks from this coming monday. I wouldn't worry about early delivery unless you start to dialate (ask your OB to check if you are concerned)...most first pregnancies DON'T come early, but there is always an acception to the rule...good luck!
