My doctor is sure i have a anterior placenta because i cannot feel the baby very well and it is hard for them to find the heart rate it always takes like 10 min to find it. Does anyone else have this problem and if so when will i feel my baby more?

I have the same problem. I am 33 weeks along with my 3rd baby. You probably wont feel much until the babys a bit bigger and the bones harden a bit. around 5 months I would say

I have an anterior placenta, I am 20weeks and have the same problem with getting the heart rate. I'm just starting to feel movements but mostly if i'm laying down or sitting with my hands on my tummy.

dont stress too much hun especially when ur only 19wks hopefully u will feel the baby kicking stronger and stronger as the wks progress and as for its heartbeat it can be hard for the docs to find it straight away and my doc pushes hard on me too to get my baby's heartbeat and im 21 wks. it isnt until your further along that they find it easier to find the baby's heartbeat. relax and try not to stress too much im sure ur baby will be fine :)

thank you so much i feel a lot better. I am 18 weeks almost 19 weeks. I also only feel small movement very low. the only place they can get the heart rate is on my left side and they have to really press hard just to get it. I cannot wait for my U/S so i can see what is going on in there :) I am trying hard not to stress over it. thank you again:)

I do as well I'm 24 weeks and I don't think I felt the baby move until around 19 weeks, my doctor always finds the heartbeat very low almost right in my hip tell them to try checking there? I was very scared when at my 12 week exam 2 doctors tried for 30 minutes and neither could detect a heartbeat, they sent me for an emergency ultrasound and I cried with relief when I saw my baby moving around. Anyway I feel him a lot now and can even see my belly jump when he kicks and punches, hang in there it was very discouraging for me because a girl I know is due the same week as me and could feel all those early flutters before I did. I found that when I did start to feel him it was quite strong so be patient there will be no mistaking it when you feel it :)

I have anterior placenta and I was very concerned too, but I wouldn't worry, how far along are you? I'm 21 weeks and really I'm just recently started (maybe for last 1-2 wks) feeling baby regularly, still not much, mainly when my bladder is full I can feel twinges b/c of baby pushing against it. Other than that I feel small movement, mostly real low, can sometimes feel on surface, but not a lot, only if its very active and I kindof push on stomach, but only down low, like below my pantline. With my 1st child I felt her all the time and a lot stronger, but didn't have anterior placenta w/ her, just be patient, if you're like me it will just take some time and you'll start to feel it.

it can be a bit of a worry...but because i had it with my 1st pregnancy i didnt have anything to compare it with. but im 20weeks with my 2nd and im finding it really strange feeling baby so much....the strength of kicks im getting at 20 weeks with this one is probably the strength of kicks i got with my 1st at full term! but as long as they can still pick up a heart beat id try not to worry too much

i think i mentioned it might be that wich was causing your lack of feeling the baby in a post you made a few days back.

i had this with my 1st ....the pregnancy was totaly normal and fine. when i asked about it with my midwife she told me "well its got to go somewere!" as long as its not low or covering your cervix it shouldnt be a problem...but even low placentas often move up as pregnancy goes on.

with my 1st even right up to the labour i only felt her move no more then 6 or 7 times a day. you will get used to whats normal with it, and if your ever worried just be on the safe side and get checked over :)
