i personally didn't have to be induced.. but my sister was induced when she was 2 weeks past her due date.. and she nearly had to have a c-section because they thought that her labor stalled.. but then she progressed fast at the end and was able to do it naturally.. she ended up being in labor for 18 hours.. i think inductions tend to make your labor longer depending on how dilated you are and all that.. if you aren't dilated or effaced at all i would recommend waiting to be induced (unless it's medically necessary to get the baby out) because being induced can very often lead to c-sections.. but if your dr thinks you'll do ok.. then maybe you should..

I was backward from what your asking. I was induced with my first and had my second naturally. I liked going into labor naturally just to have the 'It's Time' experience, but as far as the actual labor goes, I think they were identical. Both took the same amount of time, equal amounts of pain, and same pushing. I'm almost 38 weeks and would love just to have my doc schedule an induction lol!
