Has anyone else been told their having a large baby?

I have to go for ultrasounds every 2 weeks as I am a high risk pregnancy ( my son got fifths disease and than I got it ). So yesterday was one of my ultrasounds. The tech told me that my son is 3.3lbs and at his gestational age is only supposed to be 2.2lbs. I'm worried about how large he is going to get with still 2 1/2 months to go. (Due Date: Sept 2nd) .. The tech said that they would have to monitor the baby's growth. Has anyone else been told their baby was large? What was the outcome?

Thank you for replying! I went to another ultrasound last week and the baby is now 4.6lbs and I still have two months to go. Looks like im going for a 10lb baby as well!

I haven't personally but my mom was told that with my youngest brother (her 4th) She was put on bedrest 3 months before her due date. He was born 3 weeks early and was still over 10 lbs.! The only thing with her was she had to get a c-section because he was so big that when he started to turn head down he got stuck on her pelvic bone so she couldn't delivery naturally, but a lot of people are able to :) Hope this helps a little! He was a chubby healthy baby :)
