I wrote anouther questions about pain in my upper right on my belly that I get bad painwhen i stand up for awhile. So I asked my dr and he said it might be gallstones, and my altrosound is on wednesday, and I dont know what I would do if I got them and what would happen to me....so I need some advice!!! PEACE AT MIND

i've just been diagnosed with obstetric cholestasis which is the liver not functioning well, so fat builds up in the blood apparently this can cause gall stones, i have no idea about this and i'm really worried myself because obstetric cholestasis can cause increased still birth and premature labour so if anyone knows any info please let me know

i got kidney stones when i was 8 months preggers with my son,so painful i was rushed to the hospital cuz i had no idea what was happening to me.they ran tests to find out that it was just kidney stones and gave me a medicine that made them disappear.all better in a couple days!

i have gallstones and i am 28 weeks and they will not take them out , only if there is a problem , i am on bedrest for other problems , take care try not to worried good luck

Hi I never had any problems with my gallbladder until I had an attack when I was 24weeks preg, paramedics thought it was premmy labour as the were comin on every 5 mins but then found it to be gallstones once at the hospital. 3 days later attacks turned worse n pain wouldnt stop even with pethadine shots so had it removed. (luckily as it was gangrene)... ISurgery aftermath was very painful n suffered more attacks for a month afterwards n sat in hospital on pethadine shots for that time... But luckily I have a healthy 8 week old baby girl. The only problems with pregnancy was the stress the pain put on my body causing hypertension so they delivered her 3weeks early... But after the pain I suffered I was glad she was out n safe...
Best of luck I really hope that you dont get it like I did n can make it through...

hi there, i have had my gall bladder removed as a result in gall stones after pregnancy :)
i will tell you now, that unless you are in complete agony and crippling over in pain, thy WILL NOT give you surgery while you are pregnant, they will just give you meds untill baby is here, then go from there for your surgery.
they arnt that bad, so chill out, yup they can hurt, but if you take on a low fat diet it will help. gall stones are caused by calcium build up that isnt getting through your bile duct.

um i havent had them honestly but i think a friend of mine who just got pregnant recently had then while she was pregnant also and she had to have surgary the baby is still ok and all that and she is still well also but im not sure if there is any other way to get rid of them your dr might know some but i think surgary is the only way good luck i hope you dont have them and that everything goes well threw your pregnancy congrats on the baby and finding out what it will be? if you are able to and want to but also talk with your dr about other options or if there is any others
