since you are swelling and you think there might be some cloudiness to your urine i would let your doctor know, its better to be safe than sorry. it wont hurt anything to have it checked out.

Another early sign is high blood pressure. It runs in my family too. My sister had to be induced 2 months early becauses of fainting, fluid in her lungs, and fear of siezures. My doctor recommended I buy an automatic blood pressure cuff to keep an eye out for early warning signs.

thanks for the post! and i am swelling some days are worse than other there are days that it hurts to walk it get so bad and that happened with my son but i sent pictures to my mom and she told me my face is swollen also i am doing better today but i have just layed on the couch while my son watched cartoons. and with the weight gain i have gained like almost 60 pounds with this one but when its estimated to be a baby ove 9 pounds again then thats not my worry but with the urin idont know if when it has to much protien if it smells but mine smells and it has like white cloudyness to it i have noticed! not sure if that could be just another infection or what!

I thankfully have never had it but I have a strong family history of it. Grandmother, mom, both aunts, and a sister have all had it. Some symptoms to look for are seeing spots, excessive weight gain (which is water weight gain) and cloudy urine (signifies protein in your urine)

Please just be careful with it, my sister was induced a month early because of it, my mom was induced because her sister had such a bad case of it they were afraid for my mom too. So my sister and cousin were born 13 hours apart.

in my first pregnancy i developed pre eclampsia which is a type of toxemia but a stronger form of it.mine developed closer to the end of the pregnancy and it did get so bad that my doc had to induce me a week earlier than we had planned(we had a planned a csection,due to my pelvic bones) when mine occured i got puffy in the face, my feet, hands, ankles, and calves were extremely swollen. i had to stay off my feet and try to elevate them as much as possible.turns out mine was a lot of water weight but when you are that swollen you fell like crap.. if you are having any swelling i would consult your doctor, he needs to know this is happening especially because swelling can get worse and it can lead to more serious things if it isnt caught. he may want to put you on bed rest or have a doctors visit more than you are now. good luck

I have never even heard of it. Did you try webmd? Do you mean Toxemia?
