I just found out I'm having a baby and won't see my doctor for 2 more weeks but something tells me I'm farther along then I think. So it is possible what I what I thought was my period was really implantation bleeding. Has anyone had this experience??

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The same thing actually happened to me. The month that thought I had my period I didn't bother taking a tests cause I figured I got my period so I wasn't pregnant. The next month I didn't get it, I took a test and it was positive. I called the doctor and scheduled my appt. I noticed my stomach was a lot bigger than I thought it should be. When we got to our appt. they asked me for the date of my last period. I told them I really wasn't sure and why. They decided to measure the baby to get the exact age of the baby. The baby was 9wks and 2 days old and technically I was considered 3 months using that menstrual chart. I was completely wrong. It wasn't my period that I had. Ask the doctor to measure your baby to determine the baby's age and then you will be able to decide if it was your period or implamentation bleeding.

Yes this happened with my 1st son. I went in at what I thought was 6 weeks for a dating ultrasound and was in fact 10 weeks along. I will say it was a much lighter flow than my normal; but I blamed that on stress as it was the week before my wedding.

@April Jones, the same thing happened to me. It was the week before my wedding and I was expecting a period but just got a really light flow. I did find this strange but just thought it was from all the stress of the wedding planning. I was told I'm 7 weeks but could be closer to 10. I will find out on Oct. 1st. :)

With my second. It was the first month I'd tried not to get pregnant after two years of trying to get a baby. That it was a week early and only lasted 2 days was a tip-off that something was weird, but my cycle was only ever regular when I was on the pill in college. I didn't figure out what the problem was until the next month when nothing showed up and I started barfing non-stop.

Yes. With both pregnancies I thought I was going to get my period and had spotting and then it never came.

yes with my second i thought i got my period but it was only light and only lasted for half a day if that. so when it hadnt come back a week later i took a test while my partner wasnt home (only because he was sceptical and he thought id only had a light period and he was convinced of that) it was positive but only faintly. which we found out when i was supposed to be 17 weeks that it was because i was only 16 weeks 1 day. turned out i had concieved late

With my first I thought I had a 2 day period a month before I found out I was pregnant, and my water broke at 37 wks (so I assume it was implantation bleeding). With my second I had hemorrhaging a week after I found out I was pregnant- if I hadn't found out yet I probably would've just assumed that was a period too. I also went into labor and delivered my 2nd at 37 weeks.

well I think I had implantation bleeding with my first child cause I only bled for one day and everytime they did an ultrasound on me my baby measured in heaps bigger then he was supposed to but they wouldn't change my due date, luckily I changed doctors at 30 weeks and she ended up inducing me at 37 weeks and my son was born weighing 8lb 10oz which is pretty big for a baby born 3 weeks early and also my placenta was starting to break down. I would request a ultrasound when you go to see your doctor to check the dates and just go off the ultrasound date cause thats probably more accurate.
