hello to all the moms and moms to be iam 13 weeks going into my 2nd tri this is my first child im scared about labor never gone though it so far i had the anytime sickness the 10th week was murder on me but i feel better now im eatting again and have a supporting husband my question is how is labor? is it bad does it hurt alot?

i have heard that from diffrent women that labor is the hardest part im a wimp too lol im scared to death to give birth but i knew this was gonna happen sooner or later i didnt know at first if i wanted a child because of all the horror storys i have heard but now im 13 weeks and feeling better then i was 3 weeks ago its not so bad having a child growing inside you once youre body gets use to it.

Everyones labor is different. Personally I had a vaginal delivery with my first child but when I got to 6 cm dialated I asked for an epidural, I was 18 at the time and terrified. I can tell you there is a lot of pressure and the pain feels like really bad menstrual cramps. I started having contractions at 10pm, went to the hospital at 4:30 am the next morning and didn't deliver until 12:59 pm that day. The delivery itself wasn't that bad with the epidural. I am pregnant with my second child now and am due in December. I'm hoping to be able to do this one natural, but I am a wimp when it comes to pain and think I will end up with another epidural. Hopefully someone else who didn't wimp out can help you with how bad the pain is all the way through. My pain levels were bearable but the contractions honestly just scared me so much I wasn't sure how much I could take and didn't want to think about how I would respond if I decided not to get the epidural and then panicked before delivery and couldn't get one. I think my decision was fear based the first time.
