I am 21 weeks with my second and had my first at 31 weeks due to HELLPS. I was just wondering if there were other high risk mommy's out there and how why are dealing?

I have a new doctor who actually is the doctor that ended up coming in and delivering me the first time when I started having seizures. My original doctor can no longer deliver at our hospital. I think I am most scared of it happening so early again and this doctor delivering as soon as it happens. I was very lucky the first time, my baby was healthy and breathing on his own. All the nurses and doctors that took care of us were very surprised he was so healthy. How long did your baby have the stay in the NICU being born that early?

I can't believe they let you go that long! My friend just had it and the day she delivered the doc said IDK how no one sent you to deliver earlier with you BP so high. I was like are you kidding me you are the doc you are the one who didnt send her how are you going to questions it!!! My doc is amazing she really took charge when everything happened no BS kinda deal. Like this is what we need to do now like it or not or your going to die. But what is so scary is I didn't have any signs or symptoms. I never had the preeclampsia high BP swelling weight gain or anything. There was no reason what so ever to think there was anything wrong. By the time I got the pain in my side my body was a mess and like 2 hr after that my BP went from low to through the roof. The only found it when they took my blood, which is not a normal thing to do. And they always think the pains are "growing pains". from here on out my doc is having me go for a sono evey 2 weeks. She said if the baby is small that it is a possible sign that something may happen even if I have no signs of it yet so they can watch me even closer.
GOOD LUCK to you!! I hope everything works out this time!

I am 23 and 1/2 weeks pregnant with my second. I had eclampsia with my first. It started with preeclampsia at 24 weeks, so the closer it gets, the more nervous I get. I check my blood pressure 2 or 3 times a day and think every pain means something bad. With my first, I didn't have a very good doctor, so my high blood pressure was left untreated until I delivered at 34 weeks. I have a really good doctor this time, but still really scared and ready for it to be over.
