I started going into early labour at around 29 weeks after having bad braxton hicks for a few weeks (i didn't really count them but i'm guesses i would have had between 20 and 50 a day). thankfully after about 5 hours the labour stopped itself but i had to be really careful the rest of my pregnancy. Every time i did to much physical activity i would have tonnes of braxton hicks. After sex it would take me hours to fall asleep because i would always think i was going into labour lol. I managed to hold out till 38 weeks and then got induced due to pre-eclampsia but i was already 3cm dilated. Just keep an eye on them and if they get painful just get it checked out by your doctor.

Keep track of the timing on the them for a couple of hours and give your doctors office a call. They may have you come in for monitoring. Also, BH contractions will go away if you stop being active and rest or do something if you have been sitting a lot. A true contraction won't. Good luck.

Depends on your body. I've had a lot everyday since I was 13 weeks. Even more so now that I am 38 weeks. Try to make sure you drink LOTS of water to keep you hydrated and just take care of yourself. Things will be just fine. Braxton Hicks do not dilate you so you have nothing to worry about. Just talk to your Dr. next time you go in about your worries and I'm sure the Dr. will ease your mind. I am 38 weeks and having lots of braxton hicks on top of irregular real contractions. I was dilated to a 2 last Friday...so I'm hoping tomorrow I will be at least a 3! Good luck. you will be fine. I freaked out over everything with my first pregnancy too. Its only natural.
