If my nan and my mom both had all there kids premature does that mean that i am at higher risk for having a premature baby myself where i was premature?

Okay, I asked my doctor because it's sketchy with my family. My mom had all of us premature, and my dad's mom had all hers premature; but my mom's mom had all hers on their due date (what are the chances of that?). But my doctor says that it's just something that my baby and my body will decide more than my genetics.

I think it depends on the reason they had premature babies, like if they had all their children very young, smoked heavily during pregnancy, were very small or underweight during pregnancy etc. I don't really think premature birth is hereditary but definitely some conditions that may cause it are! You should talk to your mother and grandmother and see if they knew why they had all their children premature and then talk to your doctor about it if you're concerned :)
