A friend of mine just had a baby and took castor oil to induce. It worked for her and her mother in law. They don't know if it can hurt the baby though. Their babies are fine, but the decision is yours to make. Also, a side note- both of their labors- they said their contractions were 10x worse than with their other kids but that their whole labor was only 2 hours...

I'm having a c-section on the 30th. I would like to go into labor sooner! I feel very large, uncomfortable, tired, and irrated. I also have a 9yr old that can't wait. I am going to try some of the advice to go into labor sooner as well. I have also heard riding a bike and drinking castro oil works. I mean that's a really old 1, the oil, but I have heard that it works. Going up and down flights of stairs is supose to help also. If any of the advice on this page works, post which 1 does so that i can try it next!! lol!!! Good luck!!!

I had to be induced because I had pre-eclampsia and I had so many people tell me how bad it was for me and the baby, kind of frustrated me because it was out of my control.. That was my first baby so I don't know the difference between contractions yet, would like to go into labor on my own with this one (due Sept.) but we will see! Once again, good luck to you and your beautiful baby!!

If you have a breast pump, try that. Breast feeding/pumping makes your uterus contract, my daughter's 6 months old now and I can still feel it doing that. They ward not to pump before delivery because it can make you go into labor. Give it a try! Breast feeding is awesome for you and your baby, I hope you're going to try it!

I went to.the doctor on Monday and he said I'm 50 percent effaced and dilated to a 1 I have tried the whole sex thing I think I'm driving him nuts lol and I walk all the time ill have to try the trampoline idea. I just don't want to go over and have to be induced I have heard that those contractions hurt a lot more than the non induced ones.

Drive on a bumby road, jump on a trampoline, walk lots...
You can do all this and still go over the due date, babies come when they are ready. The stuff to bring labour on is alot of old wives tales and may work for some and may not work for others.
I hope for your sake bubs comes son though and you are not 2 weeks overdue and have to be iduced by doctors
