I was just wondering if anyone else has ever had some make stupid/rude comments about their size or belly. Yesterday someone told me my 37+ week belly and belly button looked like a giant boob. Wow people! Yes I'm huge, yes I'm uncomfortable, yes I could 'pop' anytime, but please keep it to yourself!!

Post your stories, I'm sure everyone has at least one :)

Haha. I think the twin question is everyone's favorite. For being nine months pregnant i am tiny. There is no way I could be carrying twins but people still throw the comment out there. Im just like "hello?? look at me...does it honestly look like there is room for 2 babies in there?"

I posted a picture of my bell so far, 19 weeks, and I had one friend that I wanted to kill. First she wrote back that I looked six months pregnant not almost 5. Then when I tried to defend my baby belly she said that maybe I am having twins. I hate that!! I agree with the other Moms on here. NO I AM NOT HAVING TWINS!! Never, ever, ask a pregnant woman if she is having twins!

i haven't really had too many comments that hurt my feelings... my teenage brother-in-law made a dumb comment one time but i just turned it around on him and he ended up being the butt of the joke... my mother-in-law calls me a weeble, lol, cuz weebles wobble but they don't fall down, and my father-in-law does this elephant sound whenever i am anywhere near him, but apparently he did that when my mom and mother-in-law were pregnant too...

Thankfully I don't get many comments about how big I am. My belly is actually rather small for being 36 weeks. But people do comment on that and for some reason it does kind of bother me. I don't understand why people think its okay to comment on a pregnant belly. You wouldn't walk up to a person who is obese and say something about it, would you? No i didnt think so. I mean everyone knows that pregnant people have raging hormones. Duh! Of course commenting on our size is going to upset us!

I was in a store the other with a friend who happens to be due 5 days after me. I'm 38w2d pregnant and we were talking about when we were hoping to the the babies and as I was leaving, she said to let her know when she gets here.. the cashier looked at both of our bellies then looked at me and said "your only having 1" wtf - i've only gained 30lbs the entire pregnancy and my belly is actually smaller than my friends! Yes I'm only having 1 you dumb b*tch! People are just so freaking rude!

i like when people ask me if im having twins. that always makes my day, lol. im 9 months pregnant people, im not having twins, im not that huge and i dont need your comments!!!....but worse than that is when people ask me if im old enough to have kids. now i realize i look young but i am going to be 26 years old in a few weeks. yes, im pretty sure that makes me old enough to have kids. or the other one i get a lot is how brave i am to have kids 17 months apart. i like when people asked me how that happened. umm seriously people? we planned it that way, thanks tho.

I get rude jerks all the time when I'm out.
Especially on the bus.
"If you can carry all that weight, you don't need to sit. Sure you wouldn't feel anything if you fell anyway. You have lots of cushion"
it really infuriates me more when people have sexist and disgraceful attitudes than just the "WOW you're big" comments.

I've only gained 26lbs my whole pregnancy and I'm 8.5 months.
A lot has I think has been water retention and unfortuantley, most of it has gone to my face.

Wow, funny thing is that I was hoping my belly button would poke out and it never did, I never thought of it looking like that. I think that so many people just don't have that filter that stops them from saying the first thing they think, or they think they are being funny but don't realize that when you are 8 months pregnant and pretty much over the whole thing unfortunately things just aren't as funny to us as they might think they would be. Unfortunately the only insensitive things that have been said to me have come from family and have been told that my baby is going to be a bastard because I am not marrying my BF, so that pretty much made me upset, but so far there hasn't been any comments about my physical appearance.

My MIL has used every opportunity possible to state how lucky I am that I aget to be so grossly fat and overweight, all because I'm pregnant. I am currently 31 weeks pregnant have only gained 7 pounds the entire pregnancy, but my belly is sticking out like a medicine ball attached to my stomach. Meanwhile she has gained at least 25-30 pounds in the last 2 months alone!!

When I was pregnant with my 1st, I was working at a restaurant and just before my break time I was in line making salads with some other servers and I commented that I was so hungry I could eat a whole person. And he said "It looks like you already have!"

I still didn't forgive him for almost a year after that. LOL!

The only thing I have to say is some people are apalling...A man at work tried to compliment me by saying you are a pretty pregnant, not like some women who go all to hell when they are pregnant...all I can say about this is that so far I have had an easy pregnancy and am only 22 weeks, what happens at the end when I am sleep deprived and swollen?!?! Not that bad I know but I didn't know what to think!

I'm a ballet dancer. I competed for over 14 years. taught a a few studios and danced proffessionally. I still practice my basics and even went to my current studio for class untill i was about six months. one day while there one of the other girls close to my age said "youre getting fat". i told her "i'm pregnant?" she already knew this info and had a child of her own about a year ago. she's always been bigger than me and still is. her excuse for telling me this was that people told her she was fat when she was pregnant.... if you didn't like the comment then why would you repeat it to another woman?!

I think it's interesting that people seem to be amazed at how I am bigger every time they see me. Really people???! Did you think he stopped growing at some point?! Goofballs!
