Is it just me or are maternity clothes just way too big or am I just way too small?? I am due July 2010, which makes me almost 7 months pregnant and I still wear my normal pants with a belly band. I bought some maternity pants a couple days ago and they are smalls and I practically drown in them! My husband always tells me that I look small, but I think it may be because I have small hips and I have never been able to fit into women's size clothing. Does anyone else have this problem and can I possibly get away without wearing maternity clothes throughout most of my pregnancy?!?!?! I know I will probably fit in them at some point, but like the legs are too big and I feel like the stretchy stuff falls down a lot......

I too had problems of finding over sized maternal wears. But since i'm just 5 foot 4 inches, length was never a problem.Morphmaternity clothes are so comfortable and their maternity bottoms support the belly keeping it safe and snug. And i actually found something that fits me right. Now i recommend them to every pregnant woman!

i found my first pair of maternity pants in a non maternity place.. Maurices had a pair of pants with a folded over cotton waist that looks just like a maternity waist.. if you don't need maternity clothes, don't worry! i find them needed atm.. but if you don't it's alright!

I noticed the same they just seem to be to be and some of them ugly as ever. I just went to a Ross store and bought a few outfits that are a little bigger or stretchy. I'm only 3 months but I need the comfort and normally I wear extra tight clothes

haha i see.. i dont have the height problem im only 5 foot 3 inches, i wish i were a little taller but thats never gonna happen..lol.it does suck having to basically go everywhere to find something that fits.ohh and the shirts at old navy do run a little big, i wear smalls in shirts and i ordered one online and it was a little big when i got it..but now my belly is really starting to pop out..so it will prolly fit better now. have you tried the regular shirts just babydoll style? and far as the pants you might be able to get by with regular jeans with the belly band.or if you feel them gettin a little snug just go up a size i did that with my first baby bc i couldnt find maternity clothes that i liked but we have a bigger variety of maternity where we live now.

Yeah my jeans fit me really well, but I also shrunk them haha the other problem I have is that I have long legs so everything is too short talk about having a hard time finding a 0 long when I'm not pregnant now trying to find a small long is almost impossible. I will have to try Old Navy I have been to Macy's and Motherhood Maternity and I like their clothes, but 90% of them including the shirts are too big!

I actually have the same problem, i am due the first of july but will be having my baby the end of june, (due to repeat csection).and size small maternity pants are big on me too. old navy carries xs which seem to fit me perfect, well most of them some of the xs are even a little big.like the ones that have the adjustable waistband they are really comfy but they run kinda big. in regular jeans i normally wear between a 2-4 and i bought a size 2. and i put them in the fourth hole i believe and that worked for me, and the ones that have the belly band on them im not real crazy about how high they come up but the jeans fit me really good, and ppl dont even notice the band, also a good thing about them is they are the latest styles, which is great bc then you dont feel all awkward bc your wearing ugly pants..lol..
