measuring big

i am 20wks and i am also measureing bigger at 23wks. i would be 22wks but the ultrasound tech thinks im two weeks less which puts me at 20wks. she determined this when i was early on pregnet at 7wks and i was told i was only 5wks. the dr. just said huh, well your measureing a lil big at 23wks but we will just keep it the way it is... odd to me

How big are you measuring? My baby is measuring 3 weeks ahead of schedule. My dr isn't worried though... said it is very normal (both my boyfrined and I were above average and so was my first son) Due dates are rarely right anyway... it is all based on what is normal times to concieve but some surprise mother nature lol. I was actually just told recently that I was measuring small, so they scheduled an U/S for me and I had it today. He's actually measuring a week bigger than my scheduled week for now.

I wouldnt worry about it, because if your due date is wrong then your baby will just come earlier than you expected. It's up to your baby when they come out and if he/she doesnt have enough room, they are gonna want out! lol. I'd say dont worry about it unless the doctor tells you there is something wrong, and your baby measuring big isn't really something to worry about. Just keep us updated!

I was measuring big for a couple months now and was gaining insanly weight for a while too. But not onnce has she sent me for an ultrasound or anything to see the size of him she just keeps telling me hes going to be really big and expect a 10 pound plus baby.

Like the other women said dont be worried as hard as it may seem. They told me I was big for the week I was at as well. I went for a 2nd ultrasound and everything turned out fine; my baby girl was growing a week to two weeks ahead of schedule. They said that there are many factors that could make this happen as a due date is only the doctors best guess its almost never accurate in the first place. All my doctor did after that was keep a close eye on any symptoms I may have had or have. Plus they did an internal check before the would most women to make sure I wasnt thinning or having any early labor symptoms. Im at 34 weeks not and still measuring a week or so bigger only thing is I'm alot more uncomfortable to be honest because she doesnt have much room to move now. So just keep your chin up and know that your son/daughter is growing large which can be a good thing but yes more of a chance to have a c section or be induced.

There's just a little more of a chance that you'll either be induced early or have a c-section. My husband weighed 10 lbs. when he was born, and I weighed over 9 lbs. when I was born. My son's biological father weighed 7 lbs. when he was born, and my son was 8 lbs. 7 oz.! We're expecting this one to be a 10-pounder or so.

I had to be induced a week early with my son, so if it ends up that you need to be induced, it's not as bad as people say it is. I'm actually hoping to be induced again...

I'm 28 weeks as well. Thanks for the reassurance! What happens if your baby is just really big? Would you just be more likely to have a C Section? They asked me if my husband was a big guy haha. He's average so we will see if we just made a big baby

Don't be worried (I know it's impossible to not worry, but I'm going to say it anyway). How far along are you? I'm 28 weeks, and measuring closer to 33, but my doctor said it wasn't anything to worry about yet. The ultrasound will just check and make sure all of your baby's developments are on "schedule", even if he/she had a growth spurt a little sooner than "normal".



You may just be having a bigger baby. It also could just be the positioning of the baby. Until the doctor says there's a problem, there's absolutely no need to worry about anything. Good luck, and I'm sure everything will be perfect with your little one!
