I just lost mine and there was no blood, or red tint at all. It looked sort of like a clearish yellow and it was really thick and gelatin like... i thought it was gross haha

i had my first bundle of job 6 months ago now but when i did 'lose my plug' it started gradually more than a week before i had my little girl. it was clear for me and as for cramps. i was having little ones for a week before too. but when i went into labour i knew the difference. quick labour of 5 hours. :)

its usually like a thick blob. from my experience and what ive read you may not know you lost it but it commonly comes out when you have a bowel movement. if its blood tinged then its bloody show.

I'm 38 weeks and just starting losing mine a little at a time. At first it was white for 2 days, but them last night it was actually dark red....so I may be starting to dilate now (have an app with my midwife wednesday)! I was wondering if I'd be able to recognize it and I definitely was! Mine was very different and obvious from any normal discharge.

I'm pregnant with my first, and my Doctor doesn't seem to think that I will lose mine until I am actually in labor.
I'm 39 weeks and I was told/knew what to look for, and I haven't seen it/felt any of the text-book symptoms (cramps, etc)

Thank goodness, I am not alone lol. I am 35 weeks with my first child and have been wondering about this myself. I am also worried I won't recognize "light" contractions, they say it feels like menstrual cramps but I have been getting that off and on for a few weeks. The worry never stops! I wish everyone luck on this journey!

I too was induced with my first child 10 years ago, and have no clue what to look for. I am 30 weeks 4 days.

It can be any of the above, but there will be no mistaking what it is by its consistency x

If it has the red, pink or brown tint to it then that is what is known as bloody show ... which means there is also cervical activity. If it is just your mucus plug it will be white, yellow or clear.
