I'm 34 weeks and I think I'm losing my mucus plug. It hasn't come out all at once though, its been coming out a little at a time since earlier today. Also I've had cramps down low. Should I be concerned?

So I called my doctors office this morning like the nurse at the hospital told me to. She told me that they might want me to come in sooner to check me out or whatever. When I got the triage nurse in the office she told me to go back to the hospital to get checked out. I told her that my contractions aren't regular or anything and nothing new has happened and she basically said to go anyways. My grandmother doesn't want to take me and thinks its stupid that I don't need to go...what now?

Thanks for the advice, I called my doctor earlier today because the symptoms kept happening and he sent me to the hospital to get checked out. It turned out that I was contracting and I was 1cm and %50 effaced so they gave me a shot to stop the contractions so I wouldn't go into early labor. Hopefully I go at least another two weeks so the baby won't need to go to NICU when he's born. But now that I'm home I'm still having lots of BH & more of the cramping, I was told to stay off my feet and hydrate.

Yi agree you need to go to the hospital or call your doctor, obviously its your still quite early and this can cause stress on the baby so theyll need to check out why this is happening.

u should call the hospital or c your local doctor and ask this question to them as well but generally losing your mucus plug is an early sign of labour. it usually comes out little bits at a time but i would get checked just in case that way your doctor knows wats going on all the best and good luck
