Never had morning sickness???

I've had 4 children youngest one is now 11, never had a hint of morning sickness with any of them , I've just found out I'm 7 weeks pregnant and I have terrible morning sickness!!

I am prego with my third child, and I, have been lucky so far with all of them. My first two I, barely had morning sickness, now this pregnancy I ,have yet to have any. I just started my 13 week, and other than some nautiousness and gaining weight ( lol), I seem to be fine. I have heard some women have been able to predict the sex of there baby by there symptoms. I know its probably silly to ask but have any of you been correct with your predictions. Basing it off of symptoms alone??

i am so glad to hear all of you that didnt get morning sickness as this is my fifth pregnancy and i have not had morning sickness at all and as you was really worried still have about 3 weeks for scan am that paranoid i was thinking about paying for a private one just to make sure everything is ok am i mad

i was sick for months in the beginning barely kept anything down. it was awful im in my 7th month after my 4th month i havent gotten sick sense i have been slightly nauseous lately but doing way bettter than those first months i couldn't even stand up without throwing up.

Elisabete, You truly are lucky! I'm with my first right now and I'm having pain like crazy! I'm waiting on a referral to a physical therapist for the pain in my hips. It feels like bone grinding against bone and I've had to get my hubby to help me move from place to place half the time. We just got a bath mat for the tub so that I can take a shower when he isn't home (and feel safe doing so) and hopefully take a bath as well, without feeling fear that I won't be able to get out of the tub without his help. There are times it takes me twenty minutes to get off the couch just to get to the bathroom when he isn't home. My lower back hurts, as I thought it would, but now the pain from my hips is traveling down to my knees on one side. I have no idea what is causing it but the OB is worried that it'll get worse and I'll wind up unable to walk at all. :(
You're definitely lucky as most women I've talked to around me that have been pregnant have at least experienced some pain, back pain at the least. I wish I had your luck! :)

ive never experienced morning sickness and ive had 5 kids and neither did i with this pregnancy number 6 .i think it may depend on the persons body or what they eat i dont know but ive never expericend it .
i never had any pains neither with my other pregnancies this one is the first i felt any back pain and my first 2 kids i felt no labour pain adn i felt very little pain with number 3 but the last 2 pregnancies were painful.
so i guess we are both lucky

Well if you're just lucky, then I guess I am too! This might be a little too much information, but the only problems I've had with getting sick was due to my sinuses draining and the fact that I can't cough up a loogie (sp?) like some people can. LOL. I start to and then the thought of it in my mouth (or even just seeing it after it comes out of my mouth) makes me gag, and sometimes makes me sick. It's happened 3 times now. (I'm 19 weeks and 3 days pregnant) The only other time I got sick was due to mint flavored toothpaste, I had to switch to Close Up, the cinnamon flavored kind. For some reason I can no longer stand mint flavored tooth paste, anything other that is mint flavored is fine. And I can't drink, or eat, anything that is flavored Orange, it also makes me gag and will make me sick. So I've gotten sick a total of 5 times, but the OB told me it's not morning sickness, it's due to those flavors and the drainage.

I had a real problem with the nasal congestion though since my allergies are so bad. I moved from AZ to KY and the cold weather has our heat way up, so the heater is apparently drying out everything which is, in turn, making our house just awful and my sinuses are extremely congested. I was told by the OB to buy a humidifer and my sinuses may clear up some. Other than that, no sickness. So we must be two of the luckiest women in the world then. ;)

My mom also said she was really sick with both my brother and I so I was also worried... but again, nothing. If you can also let me know what kind of cocoa butter your sister used, I'd appreciate it!!

i was sick with my son who is now 4 i had very low blood pressure and kept passing out and just felt and looked ill....im now 30 weeks pregnant with my girl and feel and look good, i had the odd morning of feeling unwell but overall pregnancy was a dream not lookin forward to the giving birth part tho....although my sons birth was smooth so fingers crossed!!!

I never had it with either baby. I have a 4 y.o. and due in June/July! Were the lucky 25% of women who don't experiance it, I was suprised to hear 75% of women do!

i was just like you i didnt have any morning sickness. thank god!!! be glad. cause i know a bunch of people who had and wish that they didnt. i think if you were very active before you got pregnant then you wouldn't have it. but its luck!!

i had morning sickness just once with my first kid, i woke up threw up once and my boyfriend asked if i was pregnant i said no but he requested a test and i did it and was lol. no other problems except heartburn, and no more thoughts on morning sickness. i had a very easy delivery and i had a beautiful baby boy born august 25th, 2006. i am now pregnant with baby number 2 and will never brag about never having morning sickness again. the first 3 months i was that sick i could barely move, i lost 13lbs (im 19 weeks and still havent gained a pound back but got a fair size baby belly) so hopefully everything will be good with this one too :)

I wouldn't worry too much simply because your mom was very sick. My mom only got sick once with me but I puked every morning from about week 8 til week 13!

Ya'll are so lucky not to have any morning sickness! I have it all the time everyday. It's horrible, I can mostly only keep down water and crackers most time! I think it's different for most people. My mom has really bad stretch marks, hopefully I won't take after her!

What kind of cocoa butter is it??? I am worried because like you my mom has a pretty bad stomach! I am super worried because I am still really young and I want to be able to wear bathing suits and what not and not feel self conscious around my husband! Sadly I am the first one of my siblings to have a kid so I am like the experiment! I just want to try to do as much as possible to avoid them!

That was part of my concern. My mother was horribly sick with me most of all. I was the first of three girls. She explained it to as being so sick that she could only eat saltines and 7up. I think with my sisters she was sick as well just not quite as much as she was with me. My younger sister was sick with her daughter as well. I think her second child was better. So I was very much expecting to be sick and I was never so much as a stomach ache. And as far as stretch marks my mom looked like she was attcked by a lion, so bad and my sisters both barely have any if not none at all. I know one of them used pure cocoa butter that you have to warm up to apply and I am going that route as well, have to figure something is better than not trying at all. :)

i had none at all with my first. all went great. i had mild nausea with second and thrid, but no barfies. second and third were good, well except the end of this one with having kidney/stone issues, but thats not related.

I am only 15 weeks, but I never got sick. I was told that it is genetic and my mom also said that she didn't get morning sickness either! I am so happy I didn't get morning sickness!!! Now just to avoid stretch marks!

Thanks. These things are good to hear. There is so much focus on people who do get it and hardly any info good or bad if you don't. So many people get it that I have felt so abnormal and worried that it means something bad and I just don't know it.

Congratulations! I too never get morning sickness, and yes we are lucky, I have three happy and healthy children with no dramas at all during or after there arrival. I am currently pregnant with our fourth everything seems and looks fine so far

with my first i only got sick twice a week apart and that was it and with my son never had it and with my miscarried child i didnt have morning sickness with that one either but garlic didnt like me... with my daughter the pregnancy went good but i didnt really know i was pregnant with her until about 7.5 to 8 months along but i still remember what went on in the months before i had really bad charlie horses and idk id get some weird spells with her and with my son i didnt get any charlie horses but sometimes normally when i went to subway with my hubby id get the same weird spells with him with my miscarried one only thing was the garlic i lost the baby only a few days before i was 4 months along back in nov so i didnt have a chance everything else after word is great im happy its sressful sometimes and always busy but yeah im happy and pretty healthy im not skinny anymore but im hoping with my son walking now that it will help with that
