This is my second child and I'm 15 weeks already. I've been toying with the idea of not finding out the sex of the baby until he/she comes out. Has anyone else done this?! How did people react? And if you have any creative names, could you help out? I'm totally lost with this one.

I am 13 weeks and hope to find out . We just don't have the money to buy a variety of baby stuff for both genders . I am already with not know sick of green , yellow and white !

For someone who doesn't want to know that is cool !

As far as the name thing , my first 3 kids were surprises . I picked out a boy name and a girl name for them and just used which ever fit the gender when they came out .

I am currently at a loss for name just yet this time around . I am still in that fearful stage . My hubby and I had a miscarriage back in Sept 09 and got preg 2 months later . I am still a bit shaken up from the miscarriage and am trying to take things slow this time around .

What ever you decide , good luck and only you have that choice !!!! NO ONE else !!!

Thanks a lot!!!I'm only 15 weeks so I still have a lot of time ahead of me to find a name that will go with the siblings name (Adriana Rae). I think not knowing will be a lot of fun and you all have made me want to not know!

Personally don't like unique names. However with the surprise. My first daughter was a surprise! I loved no knowing. However my mom HAD to know I told her that if I allowed her to find out and she somehow slipped and told me that I would never tell her anything ever again and I wouldn't allow her to be there for the birth. She didn't slip. I think the best part was when strangers would ask me what I was having and I would tell them I don't know. I always let them guess just to see what they would say. They were right about 50% of the time!

Where i live we dont have the option of finding out the sex, unless we pay to have a 3D scan done or go to the bigger city that is about 4 hours away to get an ultrasound done, but its very hard to get in. So when i had my son 4 years ago he was a surprise and it was awsome. The best part about labour was waiting to find out if we had a daughter or a son. As soon as my Mum said its a boy i had completely forgot that i was in labour and what i had just been though. This time it is going to be a surprise as well. Althou now it is a little easier to find out, i would just have to go and pay to get a different scan done. But i liked having it a surprise for my son and i want it to be a surprise as well. I am sure it would be nice to know ahead of time so that i could buy specific stuff for the gender but i am ok with buying nuteral stuff until i meet my little baby!! As far as names i am stuck myself so can't help sorry!

Hi Megan,
I had to know the sex of my babies, I just can't help myself, I don't like suprises. I have 2 boys Ethan Xavier and Marcus Phoenix, I'm 22weeks pregnant with a baby girl I found out yesterday, her name will be Emilee-rose Viola. I love unique names, I also love names that flow nicely together here are some I like.
Beau Anikia, Jacob Neo, Heath Octavian, Peter Poseidon.
Cynthia Azalea, Kiani Mae, Amelia Myeisha, Izobella Ashanti.
I hope they help, Good luck :)

I'm not good with creative names, so no help there. I didn't know the gender of my first (he wouldn't show himself), so I was surprised. People seemed a little annoyed for the shower, like they wanted to get gender specific things, but other than that no one seemed to care.

A friend of mine didn't want to know, however her mom REALLY wanted to know. So the ultrasound teck got the gender pic and gave that to the mom in an envelop, so that way just her mom knew (although she showed it to my mom at the baby shower, so we knew ahead of time too).
