I have a doctors appointment on Tuesday but for the past two days I have been having sharp pains in the front of my pubic bone just below my belly. I am 34 weeks on Saturday and this is my first child, he is head down and I think he is starting to drop. I usually feel the pain when I put my foot down while walking or if I try to lift my legs. Do you think this is just pressure on my cervix from the babys head?

Its called round ligament pain - totally normal. It can be REALLY painful though, but there's no risk to baby. Mention it to your doctor, they may be able to suggest something to help.
I'm 30 weeks, and know how you feel - mine never stops! I've had it since about 18 weeks.

I'm only 31 weeks and 3 days and I've been having those pains for a couple of weeks now. I even went to triage once because I felt a lot of pressure down there (they end up just moving her because she was in a weird position on my bladder) but my doctor said it was just the stretching and the body getting ready for the big day! lol It still scares me though when I'm trying to go down the steps and I feel it though but your post actually gives me some comfort to know there are others out there.

I'm 34 1/2 weeks, and I get the same pains. It's completely normal! It's just pressure from your baby, and means your body is gearing up for labor. :-)

Yep it's pressure it happens all the time i'm having my 4th on Monday,it's nothing to worry about it's also your uterus and everything else that is going on in there just pushing on your pelvic bone no need to worry..good luck!
