Pain horrible mind numbing pain

Ok this is my third pregnancy I'm 20 weeks and I'm in horrible pain it shoots up my back and down my legs it makes me feel like throwing up I have a headache and it isn't helping with ability to tolerate my oh so normal 2 and 4 year olds or the heat the Doctor say to take Tylenol but that isn't helping even a bit. I cannot lay down as that seems to make it worse sitting is miserable and standing is impossible. I might add I can feel little bit moving around and I'm not spotting or bleeding I'm just in excruciating pain dose anyone have any suggestions on how to make the next 20 or so weeks more bearable as I know I'm only going to get more uncomfortable!

it was indeed the sciatic nerve and the Chiropractor gave me some stretches to do a few times a day and they are already helping I feel so much more myself today!

Before you go get yourself adjusted, because that is quite spotty if you don't have a regular chiropractor you trust, if you've already got all you can from your OB, you could go see an acupuncturist. They don't manipulate your spine and are very good at relieving neurological pain.

Also, I had a something like this that I thought for sure was sciatic nerve pain (since it runs in my family). Turns out it wasn't, it was something having to do with my pelvis and pregnancy.

Also, I know this is your third pregnancy but your body react differently each time. At around 20 weeks, my pain peaked and then got so much better..as if everything settled (acupuncture also helped).

If you've done all you can and still feel "just not right", insist your OB or GP do some tests or something for you. You know your body best.

That sounds terrible! I'm so sorry. I would agree with everyone else about the chiropractor. I hope you get some relief andthe rest of your pregnancy goes smoothly. Good Luck!

Go to a chiropractor that has experience with pregnant women.I started going around 16 weeks, when I started having pain. My pain copletely subsided ( along with the migraines I've had my whole life) with no drugs!

the heat would be good except it make those other pesky Varicose veins feel worse!

Have you been to the chiropractor?? Sounds like your syatic nerve is pinched (however it's spelt). Make sure you tell him/her that you're pregn. Good luck!!
