yeah - keep yourself busy with things you like to do. Write a list of all the positives, things your looking forward to about being a mom etc, and then everytime your mind wanders to scary/stressfull thoughts tell yourself 'no, im not going to think like that - and focus on your list of good things instead, if the negative thoughts try to creap in tell them to f*@# off !
Also try living in the moment, pay more attention to whats happening now and here - instead of what might happen in the future.

I agree with Michelle! With my first I found a warm bath helped me relax and clear my mind. Then I would lay on the bed and my husband would talk to the baby. Maybe if you have someone who you are close to (your mom, the babies Dad...whoever) that is your support system and going to be around after the baby is born have them talk to the baby and rub your belly in circles. its calming to both you and the baby. I also read to my babies.

What do you like to do? Listen to music, art? What makes you happy? Take some time to do something for yourself. It's ok to by stressed but remember that the more stressed you are, the more stressed your baby will be. I talked to my son and I am already talking to this baby. Tell your little one how you are feeling, what kind of day you have had. It helps you to relax and it helps baby to hear mommy's voice. Tell little one what it's going to be like to be out in the 'real' world.
It's ok, you will be fine. Women have been doing this for thousands of years. Good luck
