So confused! Implantation bleeding or late period?

I have very regular cycles, and my last "normal" cycle began on Feb. 24th. I did not have a cycle at all during March, so I took pregnancy tests, all of which were negative. April 2nd I began lightly spotting brown, then two days later a big clot (but nothing that looked abnormal), followed by a couple more days of what seemed a regular flow. May 2nd came and went without another cycle, so I took another test and... POSITIVE!
If the spotting in April was a period, then I am just about 5 weeks along. But if it was implantation bleeding, then I am over 9 weeks! This is my first, so I hope someone has a similar story and can help me. I feel quite pregnant and need to know how soon I should get to the doctor's, as they normally don't see you until after 8 weeks or so...

Karen - Well, it turns out the April 2nd bleeding was my period, and I got pregnant a couple weeks later. I am now at 12 weeks, and I'm glad all is well with you too :)
Amber - My abnormal period might have ben a miscarriage, but I have more reason to believe it was stress related (got married June 2nd!). It's so hard when you don't know how far along you are, but you're doing the right thing - be healthy, rest up, take care of yourself and Good Luck!!

Brown down there is usually signs of a miscarriage..I read, this is the only way I knew that I had one..and my test were negetive during that time as well..

I am currently waiting on my first appt as well because I don't know how far along I am, so I just made my appt for later next month..

Taking vitamins and taking it easy till then...

Wondering what the outcome is? With me i had my last period march 6th, then spotted march 28th...it lasted 2 days,but very light. Got my positve on april 2nd. But May 1st, i bled for a day, passed small clots and it stoped the nest day. June first bled for a day as well. We had Ultrasounds done and all is fine, im almost 14 weeks now :) Dr said hormones play a huge factor and some woman bleed when they should have gotten their period.

Thanks, I didn't realize Clear Blue made tests that can calculate how far along... I have an appointment for this afternoon, so should have some answers then :)

I would go to the doctors any way you need a scan to see what is going on. Any bleeding needs to be looked at. It does sound like implantation bleeding but you dont normally bleed for a few days with a regular flow. It is more of a pinkish flow rather than blood red. Just get checked out for your own peace of mind.

I would buy a clear blue digital test that tells you roughly how far along you are
