Hi all im 39 weeks and 3 days preg with my second bubba and this morning twice already ive had heaps of thick yellow discharge ive been having one lots in the morning for the last few days but just wondering if its normal to be having so much or does it just mean im getting closer to the little mans arrival ?Any help would be appreciated thanks

The SHOW......i describe it like snot and sticky mucous... its is before the plug comes out.(that covers the cervx)... is what i call it, sorry not the plug....

so when i actually went into labour i had that and the midwife told me wat it was (not my plug) but i cant remember lol i know thats not very helpful but just wanted to reasure you that it soumds like wat i had and she said it was nothing bad

I'd say its normal and not an infection unless its really offensive smelling or any other symptoms of infection, especially if its clearing in colour. It may not even be the mucous plug but definately normal. I've been getting small amounts of clear-yellow-milky discharge for weeks now, i'm 33.3wks. I've also been told its normal and increases closer to due date. Wow you are almost there, congrats and goodluck :)

hey thanks melanie it doesnt have any blood in it at all it was just real thick and yellow with some white streaks in it but yeah now its all just clear like a runny nose am hoping i will have bub soon tomorrow would be great lol no pains yet tho i did look up on the net some pics of a mucus plug and though it looked pretty much like the pics i saw minus blood thanks so much for ur help :)

it is commen in pregnancy to lose alot more mucus then normal... it is scary as im constantly checking to see if im bleeding lol... something i have always done with all om my last 6 kids when i was pregnant with them.,... now i have to go through it all again... this is the only part i hate about being pregnant cos i have had a fair few miscarriages before 10 weeks.oh and the morning sickness lol.. im 22weeks now.... so i am talking from experience..... and i wouldnt be worried..... i would suggest you go to the dr if you are concerned tho... BUT.... BY THE SOUNDS OF IT BEING SOOOOOO CLOSE TO YOUR DUE DATE, SOUNDS LIKE IT IS YOUR PLUG, NOT ALWAYS DOES IT HAVE BLOOD IN IT..... SOOOOOOO GOOOOOD LUUUUUUUCK XOXOX

oh really i thought it was my mucuos plug thats why i havent called the midwives and i was outside b4 with my hubby and i felt more wetness went inside and there was a clear discharge and everytime ive been to the loo since have had more of the clear sticky discharge

well when i had yellowish discharge my doctor had told me i had a yeast infection.So best bet is to tell your doctor when you go next and maybe she will give you an exam or something to figure out if it is normal or not.
