I have never in my life had a problem with hemorrhoids, but I am now with this 2nd baby, I am 32 weeks. I have been using the OTC cream, but its NOT helping at all! I am wondering if you all know if there is something else I can do or use to sooth the discomfort?
Thanks for your help with this totally embarrassing situation!!!

thanks ladies! I am doing much better. The cause of the hemorroids for me seems to be lifting my daughter, who is 2, and just the general strain of being pregnant. I have had no problems going #2. Thanks so much for all your help!!!

I would say, to help stop them from coming, try changing your diet. If you eat a lot of fiber and drink prune juice, you will have an easier time going to the bathroom and won't have to strain the muscles to cause hemorrhoids. Ouch, good luck!!

Tucks medicated wipes help also . They have witchhazel in them and can be soothing when wiping . I just buy the store brand which is a bit cheaper , same exact thing .
Dermoplast also helps LOTS for those times when you have burning or itching .
Are you by chance straining when you go #2 ? If so tell your dr because s/he can give you something mild to help ease going potty .

while were on this subject. I got them when I had my first baby and it obviously doesnt hurt anymore but is there anyway to get rid of the ...ehh .... left over skin tabs?? i dont really know what to call it i guess. but it was almost a year ago and they never went back in.

The name of the spray Michelle is talking about is called Dermoplast and it does WONDERS for all sorts of itching and burning stuff, before and after baby!

there is numbing spray that they usually give you after the baby comes..it is a white can with a blue lid...it is over the counter also.it worked really good for me..im sorry hopefully I can find the can in a minute and post the name on here..hope that you find some relief..I had bad hemorrhoids with both of my kids and they are killers for sure. I am hoping with this one I dont have them.

I know this sounds weird and may not give you releif for long but I've heard anal ease help numb everything. never tried it but might be worth a shot.
