So I had my check-up yesterday and I went in and realized I gained 7 pounds in ONE MONTH!! :( I'm twenty nine weeks and have already gained 28 pounds. :( I passed my glucose tolerance test, and my blood pressures have been fine (although I do occasionally see stars in my periferal(sp?) vision) and I don't get a lot of excercise because I have a herniated disc in my back that casues a lot of pain. Do I need to be worried?!?! :( Unfortunately I didn't get to ask my doctor about this because the nurse forgot to take my weight until the end of my appointment right before I left. I'm just a little worried.

I have the same problem. My blood pressure is great, I passed the glucose test, so now I am 38 weeks and have gained 52 pounds so far. It is horrible!.. But everyone says it is because I am having a boy, so I eat like a teenage boy! lol.. But yeah I was worried too, and I tried everything to stop the weight gain but NOTHING worked at all. You just have to except it, you could try eating less and healthier, but with my experience it did not help at all.. hoped this helped and good luck!

I gained a total of 64 pounds with my pregnancy----not kidding. I dropped 20 lbs in the first two months. And the rest is coming off slowly but surely. I've lost a total of 48 and am almost back to where I want to be. Breast Feeding definately helps! Just make sure you're being healthy, and don't worry about the rest.

I gained 40 lbs during my pregnancy. I gained a total of 7 lbs in one week thanks the the amazing food on cruise ships :) I really don't think you should worry about it as long as you and the baby are healthy. If you are concerned about gaining that much then just start to eat healthier like more fresh fruit and vegetables and chicken and such. If you plan to breastfeed the weight should come off fairly quickly. Don't stress out, it's not good for the baby, and the baby is the most important thing. But I wouldn't worry, I think you are doing fine. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!

Im 5 months pregnant and didn't start gaining weight til I was 3 months and in that one month I gained a total of 14 lbs from July to August. Before getting pregnant it was very hard for me to gain weight and my doctor was worried that I wouldn't gain enough.I'm just glad Im gaining something in the end and she still wants me to gain more, 4 more months and we'll see how much I gain in total. I wouldn't worry too much if your doctor hasn't said anything about it, but it definetly doesn't hurt to ask.
