Vitamins or not?

I take GNC Women's Prenatal Formula with Iron, DHA 200, Calcium 600's (also taking Heprin injections & asprin therapy so I need extra Calcium) And 1.5 GNC Lean Muscle Meal Shakes daily which gives me 60 grams of Protein. I don't eat meat or eggs, I mix lactose free milk with my shakes and I work out so I need all the protein I can get.
As for how I feel, I'm doing awesome!

I take prenatals the store brand. They make me feel allot better, I can tell a big differnce when I am not taking them. Plus I tend to be lower on the iron levels and they really help allot with that. So for me personally I think that they are a good thing, but we all have to go with what we feel is best for our bodies and our babys and also our own dr.'s recommendations :)

Thanks everyone! It wasnt my Dr. that recommended that or I would have pulled out my information on nutrition needed for this time.I worked with a few other woman that had high deficiencies because there dr. told them they didnt need it. I am taking a great multi-vitamin along with several other supplements. I just wanted feedback.

I take a prenatal vitamin, extra vitamin C, and iron. Am also asking my doctor about a calcium supplement since its not a big part of my diet.
Vitamins are essential to you and your baby at this point! You want to get your baby all the extra nutrients that you can to help her grow! I've never heard a doctor say this before. maybe you should talk to other physicians?

i take vitamins everyday. i know i need mine, since i would have to take iron supplements anyway, and folic acid is always beneficial. i take them because i know with this pregnancy i am not always getting the nutirents i need, due to sickness or cravings, so i think of it as something to help balance me out.

I have never heard a Doctor say that they are not necessary! I am taking a prenatal multi vitamin with DHA which helps with brain formation. I am also taking extra B-12 which helps convert the food I eat into energy, allowing me to stay alert through the day when all I want to do is sleep! The foods we eat (unless you have an amazing, balanced diet) do not give the baby what he/she needs. I definitely recommend taking a prenatal vitamin UNLESS your doctor tells you not too, which I have never heard them do before.
