I didn't really start noticing the hiccups until like the last week or so (I am 34 weeks). I noticed that it is almost like a rhythmic feeling like a faint punch, but it comes on a consistent basis and beat.

it's kind of a very rythmic movement. pay attention to how the kicks all feel alike and are all about the same time apart. it's kind of like a jump the baby does and usually about 4 seconds apart and they will usually have like 5 of them...maybe less or more but typically about 5. you will feel the exact same movement in the exact same spot.

Hi sweetie, the best way I can explain it is like feeling a heartbeat. You can sometimes see your belly contract with each hiccup, my baby has had them more frequently as we approach his arrival which will be Friday by induction. I wish you all the luck and blessings with your bundle of joy!

Baby hiccups are just the same as we get them, just faster. Feels funny, when it happens. You will know when they get them.
I'm 23 weeks also and not had any as yet, but i know they will come.

My baby first got hiccups while I was listening to music on my TV and his hiccups were on beat with the music lol. I had no idea what it was lol. But then every single day since then he's gotten them at some point during the day. And I do mean EVERY day. They are usually about 4-5 seconds apart and constant for a while.

My son loved to position himself on my left hip bone when he got them so I always knew thats what it was.

when i was pregnant with my son the last two months he always had the hiccups and when he was born he always had hiccups for like the first 2 or 3 months .

Its rythmic where as the baby kicking is not usually in the same spot time and time again. its constant you will know the difference between baby moving and the hiccups.

There's no mistaking the hiccups, you feel the baby move up and down quickly every few seconds. It's hard to explain but it's just different from normal baby movement. With my first I he had them ALL the time (Even right after birth), but I'm only 23 weeks and haven't felt the hiccups yet.
