Who hates the waiting

I don't like the waiting so much but for different reasons, I am tired of worrying about if she is healthy, if everything that I am feeling is normal etc. Honestly though, this is my first pregnancy and I am not planning to have any more so I am kind of wishing that she doesn't come too fast. I am 32 weeks and it seems that it has just flown by and I am so scared of labor, so very scared of what that is going to be like I would be happy to just not go through it. I think that is one of the big reasons that I don't want my due date to come, I am just freaking out about labor. Plus right now I can still go out and do things and she is so easy to carry around, no diaper bag or worries about her clearing out a restaurant :).

Ugh! ME!!!! This is my first baby and waiting for every little milestone is hard! First it was to find out the sex...then it was to feel him kick....now i just want him here!!!! I just figured it was me becuase this is my first!!! I'm SOOOO excited!!!!

Be patient, I felt the same for the last 7 weeks before I had my baby on May 18th. I was overdue by a week too. I had complications and my baby had to spend a week in the special care nursery. This was exruciating not being able to take him home or to hold him with out the drip in him. I couldn't even take him to my room. This is the case for many women whose babies are born prematurely. Those last few weeks are to grow your baby, and you are with it at all times. That is Gods way of making it perfect for you and your baby. Your baby is getting fatter and getting all of it's things in perfect working order.

I know how you ladies feel, I'm 37 weeks and so ready for bubs to vacate the premises. The sore back, leg cramps, sore ligaments and inability to put on my shoes and socks and the consistent pinching of a nerve down in my pelvis are making me very keen to see the back of this pregnancy. My first Pregnancy wasn't this uncomfortable argh. I also can't wait to meet My little son either which just serves to increase my impatience.

oh i hate the waiting so bad. my son is almost 15months old and it seemed like i was pregnant forever. especially since i went into pre term labour at 32 weeks which was stopped so we were convinced he would come early but no he hung in there and was induced after my due date. Im now 4 and half weeks off number 2 and i just really want her to come out. 1 because i want to meet her and see wat she looks like but 2 because im so damned uncomfortable and with a very active toddler to run after its getting increasingly difficult.

I can't agree with you more. You look at some of the animals in the world and they have like 6weeks til they give birth, but then you have some are pregnant for 18 months, yuck! But yea the last two months are the worse I think for waiting. I am 33 weeks and I am so there to meet my little one. Hang in....It will be over before you know it.
Elizabeth - posted on 06/08/2010
im with you....im 33 weeks and i cant wait much longer!! but if they came out sooner then the babys would be more work to care for and they would totally look like aliens. so just breathe and concentrate on how your gonna spoil that little one. thats what im doing and it does help!!!

I'm at 20 weeks, and equally miserable. Did you know a cat's gestation period is 9 WEEKS!!! What the heck? She takes nine weeks to make five babies, and we go for almost ten months for one!!! It'll be worth it, I am sure, but it is still agonizing. But we have to keep telling ourselves that we're almost half way there, and that we really do need the time to prepare!

I am 30 weeks and excited. My youngest was born at 29 weeks (preemie) allthough I am getting bigger and swollen and more uncomfortable I keep trying to remind myself that the waiting is definitely worth it. I can't wait to meet him, but I'm glad too that this one seems to be staying in there... lol.. I know how uncomfortble I was the first time around too... and I had a friend go to 39 weeks with twins! now she was uncomfortable as all get out.. but, had two beautiful little girls :) so just remember... when they get here.. its all worth it for sure!

I'm 37 weeks, (38 on Wednesday) and it's been my hardest pregnancy yet. I'm on pregnancy #7, baby #5. Both the baby and I have had some complications where I've seen my doctor twice weekly almost the whole third trimester and been admitted once with the threat of being admitted at least 4 other times. I have a c-section scheduled for this Friday and can't wait!
I know I was excited and impatient towards the end with my other kids but was never this uncomfortable with them.
I have severe swelling in my feet and hands, I only fit into one pair of shoes right now. I have headaches and nausea daily with heartburn that kills my appetite. That's just the worst of it but I don't need to bore you with the rest.
Good luck to all of you.

I enjoyed pregnancy until the exact day I hit 34 weeks. That was when I started getting very uncomfortable and Hoooottttt! Ugh, it's so hot and it's just the beginning of June! I want this little man to get here so bad and I agree with the PP, labor does seem far away and it feels like you've been pregnant forever.
Aymee - posted on 06/03/2010
I know it feels like forever. (I'm 30 wks) At least once a day I say, "I can't wait..." But even despite the discomforts and such, I am loving this experience, and try to remind myself to savor the moments now. Even if we have another, I'll never have these moments again with her once she's born. It's such an amazing experience, and she's already growing up too fast.

I am 34 weeks and this one HAS been a long one (huge baby and very uncomfortable!), my son is 18 months and kills me everyday. I am always asleep within 5 mins of being in bed every night, my partner said last night it was less than a min! lol. Can't wait for D day, so I can spend some quality time with my little boys!! :-)

I know how you feel.. i will be 28 weeks on Friday and it seems like it is going by so slow...I can't wait for my little girl to be here and neither can my older daughter(she is 4) she ask me almost everyday when we get to get the baby and bring her home..
Jacquie - posted on 06/02/2010
I'm right there with you. I'm 23 weeks and I have wanted pregnancy be done with by the time I hit 12 weeks. Time cannot go by fast enough. I feel so selfish for thinking that but I know that if he holds out its for the best for him and me.

I remember, when I pregnant iwth my daughter, AT first I couldn't wait, and then when the time came closer, I was like......eek I don't have enought time to get things done and I never did because she was early:) I was suprised that once i got to the half way mark how fast it went:)
Shaina - posted on 06/02/2010
I totally agree! I am 39 weeks with my second and this one can not come soon enough! I had my first on exactly 38 weeks and was kind of expecting the same thing with this one but she has her own plans. It gets even harder to wait the closer to the end you get, I hope for your sake you will maybe be a couple weeks early. I wish the best to you and your baby, good luck.

I COMPLETELY agree with you ladies... I am 34 weeks (35 on Friday), cannot see my feet, they are swelling and I am completely uncomfortable. All I want is for our little girl to be here as well... my husband keeps telling me you only have a month and it will go fast. YEAH RIGHT for him maybe, (oh did I mention I am sick as well with a cold my 3 year old graciously gave me) he isn't the one that is retardly pregnant and sick! WHY can't men go through something during pregnancy as well that makes THEM uncomfortable????

Ugh. Don't even get me started on waiting. I'm 40 weeks today and still no baby =[ I have a doc appt today so anxious to see if I have made any progress. Last week I was almost 2cm dilated and 50% effaced. Hopefully it has progressed a little. I have been trying lots of different things but nothing has jump started labor. Ohhhh baby boy when are you planning on coming out??

I'm so ready for her to come out. I am 38 weeks pregnant and so over it. I am trying to think of ways to get my water to break it seems like everything i'm doing is not working. This sucks; i'm carrying a 7 lb baby already and i am misable, she is head down and i havent even dilated yet...:-( Today is my sons birthday hes 2 and i didnt want her to come on his birthday, but i think that it would be cool if she did now. LOL

EVERYONE!!!!!! ♥ Thankfully now, I've had my sweet baby girl out for over 3 weeks. She's #3. I agree, pregnancy is that long so that when it's time to deliver, we are so willing to do what we have to do to get the babies out! :)
"Bake" that baby for as long as you can! The longer it's in there, the bigger and healthier it will be. ♥ Good luck!

LOL I'm 34 weeks tomorrow and now that her lungs are developed I'm like, soooo anytime now would be good.....LOL part of me hopes she holds on the 6 more weeks just so she can grow as much as she needs but part of me is like, OMG GET IT OUT!!! (I definitely want her to be healthy though)....I know exactly what you mean!!!!!!! Just wait till you're bigger and uncomfortable...then you'll REALLY want that baby to hurry up and get here!! Hang in there, though. Feeling the baby move more and more intensely is an AMAZING feeling!

if i hadn't found a way to not focus on the remaining 12 weeks i'd probably be going mad. i've decided i'll look no further than the next paycheck, the next dr's appointment, the next ANYTHING except the due date. makes it easier. what i'm eagerly awaiting, more than my little boy, is an end to work! i hate my job....
Ashleigh - posted on 05/30/2010
I dont mind the wait at all! My daughter was born 9 weeks early and thats very scary. Im 23 weeks pregnant with my second and really dont mind waiting untill due date and beyond! Just hope this one isnt early too. Everyone should be very happy to carry full term, alot of women dont carry to term unfortunatly. Enjoy every minute I think , no matter how sore you are lol ;)

I believe that pregnancy lasts this long because we need to learn that lesson of patience in order to deal with our children as they grow up lol. That's what I keep telling myself anyway... just be patient lol.
I'm 40 weeks on Tuesday! and very anxious. I've had such a great pregnancy and although I do feel a bit achey now it's not so bad that I'm in a hurry for baby to get out. What does kill me though is spending each day doing nothing... wondering how to occupy myself and get my mind off just waiting, and waiting, and waiting.
I found through the whole pregnancy my mind was on baby and I barely know how I finished off my year at school with decent grades. Now it's even more intense knowing they're so close!!
It's odd that these are my last few days of real free time to myself, and yet it's near impossible to actually enjoy them because I'm so anxious!

I agree!!!! I wish it would happen sooner too lol i'm twenty weeks and have no idea how i'm gonna make it lol. I already have a little girl who is two and i found out we are now expecting a baby boy which is what we wanted so that adds to the anticipation! All I do to help is wait a week and then get an update on what my baby can do now this week it kinda helps i guess! Congrats and good luck!

@ Elouise - Nearing the end of your pregnancy, with your baby being so much bigger the moving he does will get annoying cause when he moves he hits every corner of your insides. It sucks horribly! But sometimes its still fun to feel him move around, as long as he's not on my ribs, bladder, or pushing on my spine.

I've got 2 weeks left and am climbing the WALLS already! I can't wait to see her... I'm planning on taking some long walks this week to try and persuade little miss to arrive sooner. My little one is engaged and dropping almost daily, but she's putting up a stubborn streak and hasn't decided to come early... YET!
