Hi Kristal,

Working and being pregnant is such a juggling act isn't it? I too, know that very well, as the mommy of a 5, 4, & 2 y/o and now expecting # 4 in Sept. Have you thought about working from home? I am with the most amazing team of moms and dads who work from home around their kids schedules and don't have to make all of the sacrifices that parents working outside the home have to do. I work about 3 -5 hrs a day around my kids nap times and bedtime and sometimes with them right beside me. Our Work At Home United Team supplies us with free websites, free training and free support and ongoing mentoring, and one of my favorite parts is that there is no selling, stocking or delivering of products, no billing or collection of money, and no outrageous start-up or ongoing fees to get your business running. I don't know if you are open to the idea of working from home like us, but if you are, please feel free to visit my website for more details, my contact info is located on my site. Good luck, and hope that everything works out well for you!!

I worked up until the day I gave birth with my first and I will work as long as I can with this one. I'm lucky because this time around I work from home so I can take it easy when I need to. :-) But really listen to your body, the most important thing is your baby, so if you feel like it's too much then take time off. You would regret harming your baby much more then loosing your job, so just listen to your body it will tell you what you need. Good luck!! :-)

I plan on working up to my delivery, but Im only at 27 weeks now and I am SO exhausted! This is my third and I really dont remember feeling this tired with the first two. I agree that you should pay close attention to your body and you will know what you can or cannot handle. Talk to your boss or supervisor and let them know that you may need to leave earlier than expected for maternity leave. I will be talking to my boss about it in the next few weeks as Im not sure I can make it that far. Im not due until Sept 13, but am expected to deliver about a month early since my others were early. Good luck with your decision!! Dont feel like you will regret it, everyone is different and its up to you to take care of yourself.

I am pregnant with my 5th child and I work full time. I work all day, get off get my 4 kiddos and get home only to work some more ( my husband works evenings). I would love to be a stay at home mom but nowadays we gotta do what we gotta do. I'm tired, sore, and I need a vacation desprately!! Even though I'm exhausted it brings me joy to take my kids to their activities(dance, swimming, gymnastics, boy scouts,a dn play rehersals) my kids are my life and other than maybe a little more quiet time I wouldn't change a thing.

I'm 26 years old and it is my first baby...It is so hard working and being pregnant. With the sleep interruptions ( i always have to pee at like 3am), food cravings, mood swings, 2 hour commute (each way!), sometimes it is unbearable. then I forget things...I give my mom credit for always working and then trying to take care of me as as well. My baby isn't even born yet and I'm exhausted. I'm frustrated and very stressed as well. Its just something we have to go through unfortunately...

My due date is May 9th and today is May 7th... and I am still working full time... and I work with children so I am constantly busy and on my feet... I am glad to work to the end other wise I might of sat on the couch and gained a mass amount of weight...LOL

I decided to work until my due date so I have the most amount of time to spend w/ my little man..

I say work until your body tells u to stop.. may be try going part time... if u quit your job will u still have insurance? Goodluck w/ your decision!!!

I am in BC too, and expecting a girl. I am due July 27th, and I am working until June 30th. It has been extremely hard. I average 9 hour days and I have a 2 hour commute. My doctor just recently made me go down to 4 hour days since I am always rundown and sick. Luckily we are entering our slow time, and the company has brought someone in to relieve some of my work load.

I don't want to take early mat either and I can't afford to quit my job. I am lucky I have an understanding doctor. Talk to your doctor about perhaps reducing your hours or going to part time.

I am working, and am due in Aug too. I also have a stressful job, I am a behavior manager at an alternative high school. My supervisors have allowed me to make necessary modifications to my job to make it easier for me. I am lucky to have nice supervisors, but if they didn't I would make a stink about some of the modifications. Since it is a school my last day is June 23 and I might work a little in summer school, which is part time hours. I don't know if its possible but if you can reduce your hours that would prob be the best till your farther along and don't want to work at all
