I am the proud mother to the most amazing little two year old boy. We found out we are expecting our second in late June/early July 2010. At first I was extremely excited, and I still am ... Its just I'm afraid that I wont love and care for this baby the same way I did for my son. I've talked to my husband about it and he says its just my hormones. Maybe it is. I'm just curious if anyone else is or has gone through this same feeling. It makes me feel like the most horrible mother ever because of this. HELP!

I have also been feeling a bit like this. I love my daughter so completely I wonder if I have the ability/capacity to love the same again. My friend told me many years ago that she felt this way & I remember after her 2nd was born witnessing that she did indeed love her 2nd just the same, so I think all will be ok & that's these feelings are completely natural. The fact that this worries you means your a great Mum.
