My daughter is going to be six months soon and my dr. was asking if we are going to get her the flu shot? Not to sure, I do and I dont want to take her

I had my daughter vaccinated when she was a baby and she ended up almost being admitted to the hospital. For that and other reasons, I do not believe in having her vaccinated anymore. She hasn't been sick since she was 1 1/2 and she's almost 6. No flu shot...no swine flu shot. I'm sure every kid reacts differently, but I just don't see the advantage of poking the bear.

I live in The Bahamas and my daughter goes to a private clinic. She just got it. There were no complications, not even a fever. She was in the hospital with pneumonia a week earlier and so he wasn't taking any chances. She is older than your baby but I don't think her age would be an issue or the doctor would not have mentioned it. I didn't want my daughter to get it either because everyone was telling me how the shot would make her sick. I shared my concerns with her pediatrician and he assured me, she would be okay and she was. Now the weather is fluctuating here, (we live in a subtropical climate; usually hot and sunny), and I'm glad I gave her the 'advantage.'
