My son is 14 almost 15 months old and he sleeps in bed with us and i want him to start sleeping in his own bed but he wont sleep in a crib so it would have to be a toddler bed. when should i start trying to get him to sleep in a toddler bed?

My daughter is 18 months and we've been shopping around for toddler beds. She won't have anything to do with a crib, so I figured that would be the best transition. She learned early on to get out of our bed "feet first!" so she's very good at it.

They can switch to a toddler bed when they can get in and out by themselves without hurting themselves. We did this for my 3 year old whens he was 1 1/2. Worked great.
