Me and my husband visited Gatlinburg twice in the past 2 years. We actually went for our honeymoon and then we went back for a reunion. We looked at hotels and things like that. We then came across a website vrbo.com and that is places that people have like vacation homes, cabins, condos etc. We found that it was much cheaper and really alot nicer than a hotel. Also when we go we do grocery shop and eat in a few times while on vacation it saves alot.

Disney World has value resorts that are very reasonable and they are including meal plans and park tickets to motivate people to buy now. Click on specials or value vacations in the upper right corner for the deals. They do not offer them when you start to research so you have to click on the deals button first. Good luck.

Janice do you pack a cooler for your road trips and or buy groceries while at your vacation spot? That sounds like a great way to cut back on the cost. We are a family of 9 and we need to always find ways to cut back, but yet have fun and enjoy life as well.

Become a member of priceline.com, and bid on either your hotel/motel stay or your vacation package, or both. Also, when traveling, be economical and bring along snacks, beverages, and sandwiches. Consider eating out a privilege, and do it as little as possible.
