Our yearly summer vacation spot is in North Carolina. Cape Hatteras... We go there every summer eventhough it's an 18 hour drive coming from Montreal, Canada... This place have the best beaches and it's so safe and quiet. The kids love it!!!

We have 3 kids, so find it difficult to find a resort that will put us all in one room. One of our fav's is Ocean Sand in Punta Cana. The rooms sleep 5, the pool is gorgeous & enormous & the beach is fabulous. The kids club is on the beach, so if you want an hour or 2 to soak up the sun, the kids aren't far from you! There's a little bowling alley & games room as well, and our picky eaters loved the food at the buffet. Al a Carte's were alright, but we mostly ate at the buffet with the kids. Kids loved the Outback Safari ride.....great way for them to explore the country they're visiting! We've also stayed at the Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya in Mexico, which will sleep 6.....food was excellent!!! Very modern design though & the beach is natural coral....great for snorkelling, but not for littles kids who want to play in the sand or splash around. Nice pools & great lazy river! A la Carte restaurants were fab!!

We usually head to the caribbean. Mexico is a favorite with us. We go to Cozumel where we stay at the Occidental Grand Cozumel. Another resort, right next door is Allegro. Both are fun for kids as they have a kids club and there is lots for adults to do. Scuba if you're into that. The Dominican Republic wasn't bad and we loved St. Maarten. Sorry can't remember the names of the resorts we stayed at on either island.

If you're looking for something more economical we love The Beach Club in Fort Morgan Alabama. VERY family focused, quiet, beautiful sugar white beaches, full service spa, lots of pools, playground, tennis courts, etc...all in a gated community. It is 11 miles from Gulf Shores where they have go-karts, outlet mall, mini golf, etc. We loved it so much we bought a 2 bed 2 bath condo right on the beach. We do rent it out so if your interested let me know and I will send over pictures. It is soooo wonderful. We have friends staying there right now. She just called me from the beach where she is reading while her daughter builds a sand mermaid.

We have enjoyed family, beach vacations at the Iberostar Hacienda Dominicus, Dominican Republic. It's all-inclusive and reasonably priced. The accomodations are comfortable, the staff is friendly, and the beach is nice. Bon voyage!
