Hi, I am Kristie Etzel. My February 2005 baby is Julien, born on the 15th! Today is her 6th birthday! Julien was a miracle baby. I had a major surgery to remove a large cyst when I was 4 months pregnant. She made it through with flying colors, even looking up at the doctors before they closed me up. Then, not long after, I was told that I should abort her. The doctors believed she was down syndrome. I believed she would be okay and decided no matter what, she would be born and loved unconditionally. Well, guess what, she was born and is loved unconditionally! And, she is NOT down syndrome. She is perfect! I love my little Juju (Julien) sooooooo much! :) Happy Birthday Juju!

I'm new to this group...my name is Christina, and my daughter Abrial was born on 2-2-05 (Groundhog Day)...she's my little diva, fashion queen, and tomboy all bottled up in a porcelain doll...she has asthma sparked by seasonal allergies which pretty much affect her all year long, but she rarely shows it...she & her brother Cody no longer see their father due to his physical abuse of my son several years ago...we live in Baytown, Texas...those two, my boyfriend, and his daughter Lacey are my whole world :)

My name is Janne Helen. My son Jonas Tom was born 7th of February 2005. I love his funny laughs, quotes and little games he wants to play while talking on the phone.

I live in Norway and my son lives in England, UK with his father after the seperation December 2007 and divorced complete Nov 2008.

He has been with me in Norway once, a year ago for a month. He loved playing in the snow! Knowing england there's not winthers like here. I seen him three times in England so far. Hope to see more to him..

He has learned to read and write allready which is real cool! Children in Norway don't learn that until they go to school at age 6. Learning to swim together with his father too.

My name is Tama. My son Ewan was born on Feb 19th, 2005. Ewan was born naturally with no pain meds (on purpose!) It was a super quick delivery, as I arrived at the hospital 9cm dilated. :) Ewan is my 2nd child. I also have a daughter, Quinlan, who is 7.5.

We are an unschooling family, which means that we have a very relaxed homeschooling style. We believe strongly in child-led, natural learning. Our kids learn from everyday activity and we follow their interests. We think more of them as learners than of ourselves as teachers. We don't follow curriculum or give our children worksheets, tests and quizzes (unless it is something they request). They are both very intelligent and interesting and creative children and I am truly enjoying watching them learn and have a good time every day! He would be kindergarten eligible in the Fall '10, but will not be attending.

Ewan's interests are: riding his bike and scooter, swimming, listening to stories, playing on the computer/Wii/Playstation, helping cook meals, taking apart and building things (he's very mechanical), music music music!, dancing, nature/hiking and geocaching, etc. He loves to play w/ friends and his sister and he are great playmates most of the time. He enjoys going to the Zoo, Botanical Gardens, hiking trails, the park, the pool, and his gymnastics classes.

He was born February 9th 2005. 6lbs. 4oz. 17 inches 14inch round head born12:16p.m.

My due date was for Feb.18th.

I was planning a water birth with him but, being I needed to be a 4cm when they checked me I was at three, when the nurse came back a half hour later and I was at 7cm I decided just to stay in bed. LOL Sean is my first child and I had him all natural.



We live in Gibson City, IL



He really loves to perform for me. Now other people that's a different story. He is always reacting parts of movies and he has a memory that just amazes me. He loves writing his letters and is finally into drawing and coloring. He has a bit of a single child syndrome. He has his cousins over playing all the time and I don't play favorites so I guess maybe that just comes natural. All of his cousins that are around are girls so he is out numbered big time. My best friend has a son and they are only a year apart and they play great together. The problem there is they live about a hour away. I am not married but engaged. Not sure if this is the right move for me though I am not sure how to figure this out yet. When this is the first time my son has had a father figure in his life. Sometimes I wonder what have I done???

My name is Jennifer and I live in Clackamas Oregon and I have a little girl Violet Renee who was born on Feb 11th 05 and is the most out going happy loving girl I've ever seen. She was almost 2 weeks early, labor was 7 hours, 9 minutes of pushing(she swam out), and we took her in at 3 days old for pictures and she was on her knees and looking at the camera with eyes wide open. She started walking at 8 months, could say about 15 words before she was 1, and on her second birthday said she wanted panties and never wore a diaper again. She is so ready to take on the world. There is nothing she is afraid of and she always wants to try everything at least once. She is also very petite. She had never hit over 20% in height, but it has never stopped her. She is also so well mannered and has never had to be told to not get into anything(even at others homes). She is the best kid anyone could ask for. I love all her quirks. She is also a big sister to a 9 month old boy and she is so protective and loving to him. He is such a lucky guy to have a big sister like her. We have to twist her arm practically to go anywhere without him. I love it. It's almost like she is an older person in a little body. It makes me sad sometimes because I feel like she doesn't even need me to do anything for her but because of that I just work on having the best relationship I can with her so we will always be close. She is the beat of my heart and her brother is the sparkle in my eye!!

What day in Feb was your child born? 2-24-05 @ 7pds 2.8oz 20 1/2in long after 4hrs of non-medicated/not by choice/2 failed epidurals/felt never ending/but worth every minute of pain labor :)

Does your child have any fun quirks that you love? well she has several..she comes in with so many new things everyday I'm amazed at what she knows. But the most amazing thing is her AWESOME memory!! She can meet you once & she will remember you a year down the road. I started working at my job now when she was almost 3 & she came to visit me oneday & met my co worker who happened to have her new puppy here & a yr & a half later she came back & saw my co-worker again (1st time since) & she remembered her & her puppy & asked how the puppy was doing name & all. If u take her somewhere once she will let you know everytime u pass what she went there for or who took her.

She's also a very good older sister & helper to her 6 month sister Sabrina & can't wait until she's walking so she can show & teach her things she's knows!!



She also thinks she's BIG stuff cause we've just started letting her occasionally chew gum..haha

My daughter was born on Feb 10th also, I think there are a few here from that day. A great and joyous arrival after the loss of our first daughter so with Sarah we have been overjoyed. At four we are having a blast and I just like each age more and more. I always said oh this is my favortie time, then three months later, oh no this is the best... It is such happiness and entertainment with these little grown-ups cause of course at four now that is what she believes. And she can do it all....Just watch and she'll show you, don' t help momma. I can do it!!!!! Great to learn of the group.
