i posted a question with the same issue basically my 2 year old wont sleep through despite the fact she used to be sucha good sleeper, it changed and now its not unusual for her to be up 5 times a night! we took the dummy away just after she was 2 thinking it was that that was the problem she was 2 in feb. i camt leave her to cry as she wakes her brother crying as shes sooo loud. she has no pronblem going to bed its keeping her asleep . im certain ive tried everything so nay advice/ideas and tips welcome . im determined to have a full nights sleep ( with out sendng her to nannies for the night) soon

How does she wake up? Is she just crying? Is she hungry? Could it be that she has bad dreams? Does she have an upset stomach?

I'm not sure what could be going on but perhaps you could talk to your pediatrician about it... Since I'm sure you've tried to create a conducive environment that's the only thing left to do.. talk to the pediatrician I mean.

yes i do feel like im on auto piolot alot of the time as i have a 5 year old to run round after too, my son wasnt a good sleeper either but at least he wasnt this bad and infact by her age he did sleep through.

shes generally quite warm at night so we dont put thivk layers or balnkets on. the white noise in an idea i guess thats something we havent tried , thing is she has no problem going to sleep when its bed its just keeping her aslepp and if we do that i fear she wont get to sleep properly n the 1st place . shes 2 years old now if she was smaller i.e in a cot i could probably do the cryout thing

Five times a night? You must be exhausted!

Is she too hot or too cold? I assume you have tried introducing white noise (we use an air purifier).

When I was weaning my second child, we put her to sleep in the living room for about a week so we could let her cry it out. It worked for us.
