I am wondering if anyone has any ideas about indoor activities

thanks your ideas are great. I've been doing crafts with construction paper and shapes and getting him to stick them on another construction paper i glue the back ans he sticks them wherever. we made a winter scene picture. we also did a gingerbread house and made a snow man with styrofoam balls. so im finding little things to do with him, and definately trying to do a lot of outtings. I wish i could put a sandbox in our basement but its finished and out entertainment area is here so that sucks but a really really great idea. I am just excited for xmas when i can give him new toys and he, as well as i wont be bored anymore!!!

Hey Amanda- we have a sandbox down in our unfinished (but cemented) basement, and we play down there a lot, as well as ride the tricycle, etc. I have a 3 1/2 yr old and a 21 month old so they have a lot of energy,too. We also go to Chick Fil-A (or McDonald's) and play on their playgym (and I make sure to clean their hands afterward!), also I supervise them playing with playdough for a while, or I record them dressing up and running around the house as a "character" or singing their favorite Elmo/Thomas song, or we make "forts" from pillows and blankets, or we crawl around like animals from the zoo, or we "help mommy clean the bathroom floor" with a paper towel (while I really clean it... which seems to be one of their favorites...), or they help me do laundry, etc. My 21 month old loves to unload the dishwasher utensils (minus the knives) and put them, one-by-one, into the drawer (in a very messy way, of course). But I usually try to have a fixed daily routine with out of the house trips (preschool for my 3 yr old) and errands so they don't feel so cooped up! (and me too!)

Hi there I have 2 22 month girls & know how bored they get at home - we do a lot of toddler crafts. For example you can have some farm animals premade but have the stomachs cut out & than cover the back side w/ clear contact paper (so that the sticky side faces forwards) than get different colors of felt, tissue papers, cotton balls whatever & have your kids stick them where they want on the contact paper. Before long you will have your own lil art museum. We have had a lot of fun with these. You can make different things for each holiday also. Hope this helps.
