Milk Allergy Trouble

Hi, I just joined and and wondering if anyone is having trouble with milk and dairy allergies. My little man seems to be fine with everything except dairy. My Dr keeps saying he will grow out of it, and we keep trying here and there, but he has been breaking out in a rash and I just don't think he is going to tolerate it enough at this point. He is still on Isomil for older babies, but we would like to get him onto another milk substitute or at least feel confident that he is getting the calcium that he needs. I will be talking to our family doctor about this as well, but I am always grateful for other moms experience.

I have twins and one is allergic to cow's milk (not lactose intolerance) and the other is allergic to soy. Ask your pediatrician to refer you to an allergist. My boys will be 2 this week and neither has outgrown the allergy...yet. Their allergy shows in the form of hives and/or eczema. We tried all the formulas but the allergy test got us results with definitive answers in 3 days and really helped the pediatrician decide what formula was best for them.

In my experience between two and three is when mine grew out of it. In the meantime we also did the lactose free milk and calcium fortified orange juice.

My little girl is allergeic to dairy and she broke out in a rash. have you tried lactose free milk, its the exact same as our milk only without dairy. the doctor put my daughter on nutramigen formula its worth asking your doctor about it because its helped my daughter loads.

Has the dr ever mentioned the rash was a direct cause of the dairy/milk, or do you think it could be ezcema. My son had the same trouble i tried him on so many formula's, my dr advised that i keep a food/drink journal and that really helped.
