I am having potty issues as well. Gabriella goes to a Montessori school and they dont like pull-ups so she wears panties, For the most part she does #1 in the potty ( at school she has accident but not at home). She says that big girls go pooies in their panties. I am sooo tired of washing or throwing away poopie panties!!!!!!

I just took all her clothes off and let her run around naked. It took her one time of peeing on herself (and the floor) to decide she wanted to be a big girl. Later that day we went out and bought her big girl underwear.

Had this problem with my son (now 5.5yo). Did "Potty Training in Less Than a Week" with my daughter. She was taking herself to the potty(#1 and #2) in 3 days. She was 2y 5mo. Now at 2y9mo she wets herself about 1-2x/mo. Promise, I'm not bragging... I just REALLY believe in this system. (Nephew took 4 days and headstrong niece took 1 month. Good Luck!

My baby is 33 months and have been potty trained since she was 26 months. It wasn't easy but she was to advance to have on pull ups. This is what I did. I one day throw away all the pull-ups and brought training pants from Baby R Us. Like 15. Every hr on the hr I got up even during the night and made her sit there until she potty. I didn't want to get up in the middle of the night and she didn't either. About three days she had it down pack.

my son would wee on the potty but not poop, he would scream and cry when i tried to encourage him to use the potty or toilet so we just stopped trying to force it and I came home from work a week ago to a very proud little man who had to show me the poop he'd just done by himself on the big boy toilet. So my advice is don't sweat it they will get there eventually.

My Son talks about it a lot and will sit on the potty, but not actually "go" in it. Maybe I should try the big toilet...he really likes to flush it, but I told him that is for people who use it only.

My daughter will be 3 yrs in February. Like you all are saying she is a super smart baby. She refused to potty train and I had frustrated all options. Well I finally just stopped putting pull ups on her in September. This worked for us because she hasn't had an accident since she's been in underwear. She loves to wear her "big girl" underwear now. I also have to give some credit to her daycare teacher who worked as diligently as I did with her. I let her pick out her own underwear in the store and she always goes for Dora, Blues Clues, Wonder Pets or some other character. Good luck and I hope you can find something that works for you.

Wow...it's so good to hear that other mothers are dealing with the same thing! My son is also smart, but won't use the potty. We had a few successes, but then nothing. He uses avoidance strategies when the potty is mentioned. Oh well. We're waiting until after Christmas. Some kids aren't ready until they're closer to 3 years old (and some well past it). There are just some things that can't really be forced, especially with a toddler.

our daughter is exactly the same she doesn't mind sitting on her potty with a nappy on so at the moment im praising her for that, but she likes using the toilet

Oh this sounds like us. I feel we have a super smart kid he knows his colors, shapes, abc's and 123's but has no desire to use the potty. We ask hm if he wants to be a big boy and use the potty. No. I've bought every cool potty seat out there and he still wants nothing to do with them..His diapers are dry in the morning and he tells me when he needs changed....Ahhhh!

how old is she. Without know I would say don't try everything. Pick a method and stick to it. Eventually he will catch on
