I am the mother of a 20 month old boy who is having terrible temper tantrums. He is slightly delayed the speech development so I'm not sure if this plays a role, as he may not be able to communicate. But his behavior is out of control. When he gets angry he will headbutt everything and anything to hurt himself. Walls, Cabinets, the ground...anything. Last week my dad wouldn't let him have a candy bar so he headbutted a cabinet corner and gave himself a black eye. Then just yesterday he got an incident report at daycare because he was being redirected and he headbutted the ground, and now has a black & blue forehead. But it's not limited to just that. When I drive he can get so angry as to pull out all of his own hair! His car seat is covered in hair and looks like a dog shedding! What am I gonna do? I call the dr or ask other moms and I get the standard, " yadda yadda this is all normal childhood development"" scpheal....

Wao! I feel really bad for u. although i have all girls and never really experienced a bad/disturbing temper tantrums. I would think of some sport he may be interested in and channel all his energy towards it. When he's not at this sport, I'll promise if he behaves nicely, he'll have even more fun at it! He probably will make some good friends at d sport and be more positive. gudluk!!
