my son is 34 inches an he 13 months he weigh 36 pounds my son dad is 6'1 his unlce is 6'3 his anta is 6'4 my dad is 6'3 an my dad son is 7'2 well my son be real tall like 6'7 or taller

YES!!! My son is 15 months old and weighs 35 pounds and is 36 inches!!! He doesn't look fat but he's a BIG boy. My husband and I are really tall but I worry sometimes because he's so young and looks like a 4 year old. I don't know what to do about diapers if he gets any bigger and he still wants to be carried and I can't do it because he's too heavy for me. sigh.

Oh yes! I have 2 "Big" boys...Both my boys have been 95% or above for their Height and weight....My 18 month old is about 35# (he was 10# at birth and 22 inches) and 33 inches tall....he wears size 2T and 3T clothes as well.....My side of the family are very tall with Solid, broad, bone structure....hence my boys got those genes...They look proportional..Tall and Solid frame...Not fat. They are Very Healthy! :)

Wow, my little lambchop (just one of my names for her :) is only 21lbs! Like Melissa Millman, people are always telling me how small she is. She's still wearing 24 months clothing. She definitely puts away the food too...such a voracious appetite! She's like me, I suppose. I've always been very short and petite. You never know what your child will be like as an adult. Heather, are you or your baby's father tall? Sometimes you gew too petite parents and a tall child or two tall parents and petite offspring! Life's like a box of chocolates :) Well, coming from a short woman, I always wanted to be taller. The grass is always greener! Maybe Heather's son can be a famous football or basketball player someday! I guess we have to wait to find out!

I get just the opposite, my 17 month old is only about 21 lbs and everyone thinks he's too small! The doctor said that his weight his fine and not to worry. He eats plenty when he's hungry, but he never sits still so i think he works it off as soon he's done eating...lol..the only time he is still is to eat or sleep!

My son turned 17 months on the 14th and he only weighs in at 23 lbs. but, about the time he was putting on the weight he startd walking he started walking at 9 months old...I have a friend with a 2 1/2 and my son walks a good has he does...My son is all muscles there is not fat on him at all...He wieghed in at born at 5lbs 9 1/2 oz..I walked everyday and he was born with muscles showing I don't think just because your baby is weighing in at 30 something lbs. he is fat...I am told all the time by other people he is not getting enough food to eat my son can eat he can eat more then me...he just runs it all off...the doctor said he will be about 6'3 when he gets older...My side of the family is very tall and very lanky my older brother is 6'5, my little brother is is 6'3 and I am 5'9...My husband is 6'0...imy son wears some 12months but most are 18 months...I don't have problems with clothes I have problems with shoes most of his shoes look like new b/c he wears out of them to fast...I just bought size 5 nikes and they are almost to small...LOL

My son is 3 feet tall n 34 lbs. He doesnt look fat either. Just like a big boy. People thinks he's 2 when he's actually 17 months old. His dad is 6'4" n 300 lbs...they r both healthier than ever...I'm glad i have a big boy. Boys r supossed to b big n please note i said big n not fat. With a bone structure like my son has being his size is normal. Plus how many 6'6" guys do u know? of course ppl r gonna say it's not normal. Our kids r happy n healthy. That's all that matters.





My son was in a diaper dirby when he was 13 months old. When he was standing next to all the kids (they were older than him btw) the parents took a fit that a big kid was with all those lil kids. I'm 22 n had to practically yell at 40+ yr olds bout his age. U can tell he had only been walking for a month. They finally shut up n let him in the race n my big boy came in last place with a smile!





I wouldnt mind if my big boy played football. Have u ever noticed it's the BIG men that turn out to b the biggest softies? My husband is 6'4" n is so sappy now that I'm pregnant again. I have to tell him to sit down n breathe.





The weirdest thing is my son wears a 3T shirt but can wears 18-24 months pants...goes to show u he is all bulk. He's already getting deffinatition in his muscles.





My boy can eat too...he eats more than I do. I'll keep feeding him as long as he keeps growing. I dont mind one bit. I love the fact that I'm 5'3" n my son will probably b taller than me at age 11.





We sure do know how to grow them!

Thanks to all you guys! It makes me feel relieved to know that there are other cute little boys out there so strong and healthy!! Maybe our boys will grow up and get an NFL contract or run for President!!! Thank you.

oh yes girl my 17 mo old is about 30lbs he a tall boy don't let anyone tell you he's not healthy unless he's showing signs of it. he can out 10lbs and kept going from there he's in 2t and still growing more power to ya and your healthy babyboy

My oldest (a girl) turned 4 today, but could easily pass for an older 5 year old. You are right to be concerned about people thinking he's older than he is, because it happens all the time with her. When she was two and looked four, we would get strange looks from people when she would ACT like the two year old she was. On the bright side though, when I took a developmental psychology class, I learned that while the most at-risk kids are girls who look older than they are (especially with early puberty), boys who look older than they are have a much easier time. Just remember his real age and that he's still a baby, even if he looks more like a little man! Lots of kissed and hugs never can hurt!

Going through clothes quickly is a problem. Our 3 year old nephew gets hand-me-downs from my 17 month old!!! And that leaves nobody to hand them down to my big boy. At least he's healthy and happy. He does appear to be older than other boys his age and I wonder if other moms think "why is that boy so far behind" but nobody has said that to me just yet. It's nice to know that other moms are going through the same thing. Starting to wonder if I'm going to have to take out a loan to feed him once he is a teenager!!

Yeah! I'm so happy to hear about your big guy! My son is exactly the same way. He lost a little bit of weight now that he's running and climbing everywhere so just 32 lb. now, but 3T and everything. Our Dr. says he's perfectly in proportion. Let's try to stay in touch. I'm worried that as Dino gets older people (especially kids) aren't going to realize how young he is. It scares me that he'll get hurt or hurt feelings.

wow!!! Well i guess there are all different sizes in the world...plus if he will be tall he will weigh more...i can't imagin carring around a 35 baby!!! mine is around 26 and almost a 1 and a half.. i bet u went through clothes fast ha ha!! take care!!!

My son will be 17 months on the 28th of July. He weighs 34 pounds. He wears either a 2T or 3T depending on the fit. I have asked my doctor if he is overweight but she tells me he is perfect. At birth he was 10 lbs 11oz & he is expected to be about 6'3" and 200lbs. Everyone makes comments about how big he is but fortunately no one has said he is fat which he isn't. I love that he is so healthy looking.
