My little man will be 2, Feb. 22nd, and he doesn't talk much either. The Dr. told me that he is probably a wee bit lazy because he is the third child and everyone speaks for him.

My son is going to be 2 feb 17th and he doesn't talk much either. He says about 15 words and gibberishs the rest lol but might I add that my family speaks vietnamese to him and my husbands side speaks spanish to him so he's been hearing 3 different languages ever since he was born.

Boys definitely slower than girls, my daughter was quicker than this
He does point to what he wants though

Dont worry. I am sure he will talk when he is ready. My son only says what he wants when he wants...

I have a son that is just very stubborn. Just don't get upset, he will do it when he is ready. I think that boys are worse then girls. I have friends that their sons didn't talk at all until they were 2 or 2 1/2, then all of the sudden they just started talking up a storm.

Thankyou everyone,
I have him in speech therapy and the therapist has said he is serverly delayed in communication because he also wont wave when asked but will hi 5! he seems to understand "no" "more" etc and he has just pointed for the first time today, is that late??
I might add he has Nystagmus which stops him from seeing as well as others

My little man has about 10 words but that's it, at our last Doctor apt. I mentioned this and he told us that little boys take longer to talk. But he understands everything we say and what we ask him to do he follow directions. Sometimes he busts something out that astonishes us but then doesn't say it again for a week or two. I am trying to repeat everything we do and point out things and name them. Stay positive ;)

My son is not talking yet. He has some sounds that stand for words but not many real words yet.. maybe 4 or 5. I have had him evaluated by a speech therapist and they said that there is no need for intervention. He understands what we say and will point to things when we ask. I guess he'll talk when he's ready.
