Hi Krista, I had read that many times as well, but I've been giving my daughter scrambled eggs (yolks and whites) for about 2 months now. I watched her carefully at first to be sure she wasn't have any allergic reactions. She's fine, so we eat scrambled eggs for breakfast together all the time!

I have also heard that there are specific shots that need to be taken care of first

Yes, I've heard this too. I think it is because there is a higher risk of having an allergy to the egg whites.

Hey Krista, my best friend is a pediatric nurse and she told me the reason that you aren't supposed to give babies under 12 months old eggs is the possibility of severe allergies due to the proteins in egg whites. Babies bodies sometimes react to the protein as a harmful toxin, causing the allergy. But, if you've been giving her eggs already and she's done fine then there is nothing to be concerned about.
