allie was born on leap day... so shes not having a bday this year! lol actually we are doing her party on the 28th. she cant make up her mind on what she wants, she told me lightning mcqueen, told daddy rescue heroes, one gramma was barney, the other gramma was bob the builder and told her brother she wanted thomas (all of these characters are her big brothers favorites, besides for barney) so i decided to get the princess cupcake cake. its actually the tinkerbell cupcake cake, but they are doing it custom for me, with different colors and the princess toys on top, instead of Tink.

For my daughters 2nd birthday, we ordered a pull apart cupcake cake (Tinker Bell themed). I was going to make cupcakes, but by the time I bought all ingredients and decorations, it was just easier and only $10 more to purchase them. The cake was beautiful!

My father got my son into Spongebob, not a favorite of mine but he loves him. So this year we are having a spongebob cake. I'm going to combine a couple of different cake ideas i seen into one. A giant ricecrispie crabby patty on top. With yellow, green, and red gummies rolled out for the toppings inside the crabby patty. Along with the water theme. Should be fun and yummy!

For Jack's 2nd birthday this week, I bought a Sesame Street cake from VG's in Fenton - they do a great job and I'd rather spend 2 hours playing with Jack rather than making a cake. It had 2 train cars on top - one held Elmo, one held Big Bird - and he clutched those all day after we ate the cake. But, what he was most excited about was not the cake, but the Elmo helium balloon I bought - that was the highlight of his birthday!

We were planning on doing the farm theme. I'm doing the farm cake off Betty Crocker.com. with the animal cupcakes. His party was suppose to be tomorrow but we have both had a stomach bug so no party but I'm still gonna make the cake. It is too cute not to.

I made a strawberry shortcake cake that I was so proud of. It was so simple. It was basically single servings of strawberry shortcake, but put in a cake pan and spread whipped cream over the top (like frosting on a cake). I was able to put some Dora figures and a candle on it. Took 5 min. to make and no prep time. We bought the biscuits, frozen strawberries, and whipped cream. You could make all those just as easy. It was great for my daughter because it was healthier and she hates regular cake anyway.
