daughter wont sleep

There are some nights that I spend over an hour with her up and down. I put her in bed and she gets right back up. I don't give in so I am not sure why this continues. She also gets up most nights in the middle of the night but thankfuly I just walk her back to bed and she is fine. Her reason is that she wants to sleep in my bed. For those of you who are OK with that, that is fine, but its not for me. I love her but I just can't sleep with her, she keeps me up allllll night, and its also my time to unwind. We have a bedtime routine and i stick to it, she also has a night light. Please help!!

She still naps at school but on the weekends she has been really fighting the naps. If she doesn't nap though she gets soooo crabby. And I'm still struggling every single night.

Does she still take naps? If we wake up early I find that Ethan is almost eager to go to sleep. When he has a nap he tends to REALLY nap and that interferes with bedtime as well. When he is being a chatter box he keeps his brothers awake and I have separated them. I made him a little bed in my room and made him sleep there. Part punishment (you are not sleeping WITH mom and you can't be with your brother). But lately, it's like he actually wants this so I'll have to move some things around again. So, it's the tried and true tire them out throughout the day so that they are actually exhausted. Be aware of any sugar content even in juice in the PM hours. Red dye # 40 is also a big factor in giving some children unnecessary energy. I figured that one out with my eldest when he was 4. Once I removed that he wasn't over the top anymore with his behavior. In our house it also helps that we all go to bed at the same time. I know it sounds crazy, but they responded so well with the whole "Lights out" concept. As well as "The kitchen is now closed" :)
