I don't know if anyone else is having this problem. My son was waking up multiple times at night and wouldn't tell me why for nights. He wanted to sleep with me in my bed. When I would put him to bed he would tell me he didn't like his bed. Then he finally told me, monsters! So I asked everyone about what to do. They all told me different things, which didn't work for us. Finally I went and bought him a toy gun. I told him a I bought him a special monster gun. I made sure to give it to him about an hour before bedtime. I told him everytime he sees a monster that he should shoot it with this gun. He shoot all of the monsters in the house before he went to bed. He even wanted me to shut the lights off in his room so he could shoot the monsters in the dark. So far this has worked for him.

We tried the monster spray, that didn't work for him. His new thing is he puts all of his favorite toys under his bed. So the monsters can't get them. What ever makes him feel safe!

My cousin had a fear of monsters when she was 5. I had invisible spray for her to use (I was 12 at the time). You can also put febreeze in a colored spray bottle and say it's monster spray and let them spray before bed :) Kids are incredible with their imaginations, aren't they?
